It seemed to me that more than half of Love's long outlet passes this past season ended up in the hands of the other team. We don't need more of that.

I didn't mean full court heaves, I meant passing to any of the guys that are faster with the ball. He doesn't need 30 foot passes, 6-10 feet is A-ok. He brings the ball up slower than Garland.

Cedi and Sexton are the only guys that actually push and I wish Cedi would get it ahead faster sometimes.

Also our team should play faster. Allen, Okoro, Nance, Sexton.
What Garland/Sexton don’t seem to completely understand about playing fast is that it starts on the defensive end. Speed the other team up. That gets you the stop so you can get some fast breaks and early offense.

Heard the Mavs are after him. I think he's gone folks. This dude just looked miserable here and now he gets to go back home to Texas. He seems like the type who would take less to go home and actually play on a winning team.

Allen is a restricted free agent. If the Cavs really want to, they can match any offer that is out there and keep him. The Cavs have the power here.

Everyone knows KLove "was" an elite outlet passer. Now that he has left the doing phase, and entered the teaching phase, It only makes sense to sponge up at much as they can from him, before he is gone. None of the Cavs bigs have a outlet pass close to what Love has shown. All you have to do is go back to the 14-15 season before the shoulder injury to be reminded of it:

Best outlet passer since Wes Unseld. And maybe just as good as Wes.

Right -- he can't take less to leave the Cavs even if he wanted to. At least, not until after this upcoming season.

But can he decline their offer and go to a team of choosing?

No he can't. They can play games like try to offer during a window where we are trying to sign other players maybe, but he cannot if he is restricted. He can take the QO and then he's a trade asset AKA a flight risk so we let him go.

At this point, it'd be nice to try to have him back and have him be healthy. He certainly seemed to suck toward the end of the season - perhaps from concussions. I am sure that he doesn't want that to cost him millions, so he should be plenty motivated going forward.

And no, we don't want Porzi. He doesn't love basketball. In a culture like Cleveland's, it's where his career would go to die. We just need JA to play like he did when he first got here, and then to catch enough lobs that he wants to stay here. This is kind of a big deal - he's a young talented big. The backup plan of somehow capturing good trade value would be OK - but not nearly as good as solidifying the C position going forward - unless you don't think he'll ever be good enough to play the 5 as a starter on a winning team.

I am hoping that after his injury he was just trying to finish the year without getting injured again. He looked tentative and disengaged but there's a good chance he recognized we were tanking and figured there was no reason to risk his next contract over an injury given the situation.

I think just 4 months is way too little time to understand a players body language, facial expressions, and outlook. The looks you are interpreting to be misery on being on this specific team could just as easily be looks of frustration with himself for mistakes he made or general frustration with losing.

I‘m not saying my suggestions are absolutely correct either. I am just saying there is not nearly enough on record information or nearly enough time spent here for us as fans to assume we know what every little facial expression and body language cue from Allen meant.

He is staying with the Cavs imo. They seem to be all in
