You must be a lot of fun at parties.

Actually I am, bartended for 10 years in my 20's, i am actually the life of the party type usually, lol

I'm glad Allen is back! I don't even care if the Cavs sign any free agents now.
I love this signing and I think the deal was just right in terms of fairness and value to both JA and to the Cavs. I know some people are bent out of shape that the Cavs didn't low-ball him and scratch back every extra million. I don't think good organizations do business that way.

If you make a chart at a party showing me why Miller Lite is the best beer out there, better believe i am going to call you for it, have everyone laughing, then do a shot with you, give you a hug and continue drinking and having a good time.

Everyone know High Life is where its at.

How do you feel about this deal if Allen is the same player when it concludes, as he is today?

I like this deal for Allen, hopefully he continues to improve. Even if he stays about the same it’s still a tradable contract

Not too bad. Allen is #36 in the NBA in PER and making just a but more than Myles Turner who is not as good as Allen right now. His value in 5 years may be about the same or better. I'd be fine if he is still playing D and getting 13/10.

I think my valuation of him right now would be about 17-18m ignoring positional cost. I think he could bump that up if he can maintain intensity past 3 weeks, develop a 3, and improve his communication. I expect two of those to come with time. The third will come with winning I think. If he does those things, he becomes a 20+m guy (again ignoring position). I would dock like 2-4m for the position in general.

I remember everyone ripping on Fedor saying he wouldn't get close to 100 million LMAO

All in all, I'm pretty happy with how this all shook out. It did seem like there weren't many, if any at all, suitors that were going to be able to drive his price up on the open market, so the Cavs had to balance trying to get him at the best price possible with not being penny-pinching assholes that piss off JA and also further tarnish our reputation as a FA destination.

While I'm pretty confident we could have gotten him in at a lower number, I think that there's a very good chance that in 3-4 years, given his age and the ever-increasing salary cap, this will still look like a team-friendly deal. There's always the chance that he gets lazy and fat or that he runs into injury problems, but I think the odds are in our favor with this deal.
