Mobley isn't a center.

In a few years he will be able to play center for sure because of his length and he will add muscle.

But with his all around game including his ball handling, throwing him a center is limiting his actual ability.

He should be once he gains some weight. That would make the offense a lot more dynamic.

For stretches in the future, but I think we will see centers be centers, Mobley is a long, unique combo forward talent who will continue to develop, but is probably best used at PF but can play center in the future.

I mean I'm not saying he shouldn't play C at all. But he is best as a PF long term. With the ability to play some small ball Center (Although it wouldn't really be small ball cause of his height) and some big SF if his shot becomes more consistent.

If this team becomes competitive, it is because Mobley turns into a superstar.

You don't want your superstar to be the guy who has to bash around in the paint day in and day out with the bigs in the NBA -- unless your superstar is the biggest of them all (ala Shaq). Mobley is never going to be like that.

Honestly he shot wasnt inconsistant, 30%, but he isnt confident in it yet, he will be, that is development, but i really dont like him at SF much either.

Rather see him at center than SF, he is such a mismatch nightmare as a big because of his handles and passing. Think a 7'1 more athletic Nance Jr with really long arms. Crazy to think the kid has 6 inches and probably 10 inches with reach on Nance Jr and more athletic.

I really think the experts and league got this wrong. I dont see how Mobley wasnt the best talent in this draft.

Exactly, really dont want him guarding sf's outside the paint, but dont want him playing big centers either. PF is Mobley's positin 65% of the time even in the future. His quickness and jumping makes him perfect for an off ball defender too.

Sports and CBA, it is apples to apples in the sense not all CBA's are equal, but yeah diferent sports
No doubt NFL players are on the low end of the food chain when it comes to dollars paid versus longevity, risk, job security, etc. versus other pro sports.

All my comment was about. I feel bad that Chubb has to settle for that when compared to baseball or NBA, although baseball has that really long control period that sucks for them.

I know he is going to make 8 figures a year, we should all be so lucky, but just comparing to other team sports, not normal people jobs

Not crazy about that deal. Especially with Mobley as the future C. But it should be tradable.
Not crazy about your opinion on this. Mobley will be a PF and only play center when we want to match up against small ball lineups. And, the ink isn't dry and you're already thinking about how JA can be traded when the Cavs FO clearly sees JA as a core piece.

I'm glad Allen is back! I don't even care if the Cavs sign any free agents now.

I'm not shedding any tears for Nick over $20 million guaranteed and he'll likely see every penny of the full deal, then sign another contract after that. And to be honest I feel like a guy like Chubb has every penny coming.

I do think other sports are kind of lopsided when it comes to compensation but the economics and the math are what they are in putting the dollars where they are across the board.
