The best defensive team in the league gets better.

With Dre and Allen there's no playing time for JaVale. Is there another shoe to drop? Or with Love probably going to be in and out of the lineup (mostly out) will JBB use Allen at the 4 along with Nance?

He seems to like putting two bigs or even three on the floor at the same time.

So right now the 22 and under on our roster is:

PG: Garland (passing/shooting)
SG: Sexton (scoring)
SF: Okoro (defending)
PF: ?
C: Allen (rebounding, defense)

6th man: Porter (combo guard)

We need a taller wing scorer in my opinion
Cade, Mobley or Kuminga. And it’s pretty nice that there’s a decent chance they’ll get one of them!

Just wanna inform some people who are already acting like we were on the way to drafting Mobley: not very likely. In fact, very unlikely.

So instead of "Oh no we wont get Mobley!" Its more like "Oh no we've ruined what was likely to be a 5-10% to get Mobley!"

Comes over in a big trade that lands Harden in Brooklyn. Cavs give up Bucks first round pick and get back this young man who is a hell of a piece. A piece that gives insurance for Drummond leaving.
I like this trade..upgrade on the roster with young players.

Really believe we are starting to build an organizationsl culture and identity in this rebuild so a few questions that relate to that for those who have watched him the most:

-Does he set Real Picks (not Drummond Ghost Picks)?

-Besides the blocks/rim protection, how’s his defense?

-Does he bring Okoro/Sexton/Delly effort or Drummond/Love effort?

Yeah, plus the nice thing about the new lottery odds--a benefit we hadn't gotten to experience yet--is that we can be unequivocally excited about a move like this and root for wins without mentally taking ourselves out of the running for the premiere talent in the next draft.

It would have been one thing if the Cavs looked like one of the 3 or 4 worst teams in the league these first 12.

They don't. If the roster gets healthy, the way JBB has them playing, wed have to actively Tank to finish near the bottom. It wasnt gonna happen organically.

I'm no expert, but every time I've watched him play he's shown a high motor and a great deal of want-to, though seemingly sometimes a little too aggressive going for blocks.

He also seems like a super high character kid and talks like a nerd, which I love.

I also love that he is built like a character straight out of NBA Street Vol. 2.

I am just so happy with this fucking move I can barely stand it.

I've been watching closely because I thought he would blow up in rebound/defensive stats with Kyrie and KG on the floor with him. Nash ended up starting the vet DeAndre Jordan and bringing Allen in as the energy big... but by the second week of the season Allen had crazy efficiency stats. Once Jordan got hurt and came back, there was no excuse to keep Allen in a part time role.

I can't wait to watch this Brooklyn team take the court. Three guys who think they are "the man" and only pass to get bailed out.

It's either going to be an adaptation process all year or a massive disaster.

I can't think of a more ideal guy to pair with the Backcourt outside of Gobert or Mitchell Robinson. Like who would be better? I mean Jokic or Embiid lol. Of guys that actually might be available, he is the best, and I didn't even think he was available. He's been killing it like you say.

I am a little shocked honestly. The fit is so good, and he is not going to take shots away from our other young guys.

Not this year.

That's my point, 'Dom. With you, as long as theres one guy you think will be a star, you're gonna wanna tank for him.

Here's the reality in the new NBA: The idea of drafting high quality players 4-5 years in a row and then fielding a team with all of your draft picks and going out and winning is basically impossible.

Because as sure as the sun comes up, at some point, one of those guys will be demanding to be traded. ESPECIALLY here in Cleveland.

So all these people pencilling in the roster of the future wherein it involves: Sexton, Garland, KPJ, Wyndler, Okoro, and our draft pick this year. Assuming ALL of those guys work out and are good.....

Yea, not likely. Someone somewhere in there is going to want to be traded. And that's being optimistic.
