Thats a nice highlights package. They guy shows he has vision and we all already know he can shoot. Will be interesting to see how he adapts to the NBA game. I still believe he will end up staying in Europe.

i agree, although i really hope we sign him. haha that last pass was pretty funny... too bad players arent that dumb in the NBA.. at least i dont think so

Not a bad vid..

Im not so sure he would be a bonafide starter in the NBA, but if he is looking for a guarantee Im gonna go with Karma and say he will be in Europe.

Sarus is like the biggest star in Europe. It will be hard for him to leave all that fame and try to gain respect in the NBA.

Can you imagin him and LeBron on the break? Or can you imagin LeBron cutting through the lanes and Sarus finding him open?

That would be sick.

yep.. i'm on board with sarunas.. you can't teach that vision- that's one of the things that seperates "THE KING" from the others.........

i was impressed with his size......

That was awesome. i want this guy even more now. we should definatly pursue him.

A nice little package. Nothing extremely spectacular. Amazing how similar it is to the college game -pick and roll, hi-lo, players flashing for the ball. He's gotta come to the men's league now...

Where all the things you just mentioned are basically obsolete.

We can run the pick&roll here easy. Bring in Sarunas, he'll work it with Z, LeBron, and our shooter.

He seems to have nasty passing potential. Pair him with LeBron and our team will average 20+ assists/game. Remember, last season we were something ridiculous like 17-0 when we dished out more than 25 assists.

any clips of him D-ing up?

He's supposedly a terrible defender, and that's in europe. What's gonna happen here when he's facing even tougher competition. :thumbdown

I'd still sign him, I like the unknown about him, I'd roll the dice on boom or bust. If he sucks, oh well, its a limited investment, but if he's good, we just cashed in big, and lured a big lithuanian following. :D

Everyone knows the NBA is the best basketball league on the planet, even after losing at the Olympics. Sarunas is one of the best players in Europe, but considering his passion for the game, he must want to prove he can excel at the highest level. And what better team than Cleveland, with (probably) his best buddy Z and the one known worldwide as King James. Saras and Lebron together would be so exciting to watch. He may have weaknesses, but from what I can tell he has the heart of a Kevin Garnett. He will be in the NBA next season, hopefully as a Cavalier.

Props to agressivestyle for finding that video!!!

Thing is, the point guard will probably be the most important defensive position on this team. It is usually the position that is exposed most: everything runs through it. If he can't fight through screens and gets constantly burned, then he becomes another Jeff McInnis. Yes, we'll have a system, but a system requires everyone to do their job, and the PG's job is likely the most important. If he doesn't do his then we have troubles. We'd be the fastest, most exciting team in the NBA without a title. Sweet, but sorrowful.

At his point in his career, if he doesn't defend now, it's not likely that he'll learn. He has a big head and won't be happy sitting on the bench if his deficiencies show up.
