Joe Jurevicius SIGNS with BROWNS(update)

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
Bryant got hit square with a ton of them, Bryant had a lot of spectacular catches yeah thats nice but I'd take a guy who would catch the easy ones and surprise you with a few circus ones..don't tell me JJ can't make plays..

Remember when he tipped it facing one way turned around jumped and caught it and dove in the endzone? that play was insane.

Besides, Jurevicius really wants to play for the Cleveland Browns. He said he would probably cry the first time he stepped foot on the field wearing a Browns jersey. That's the kind of guy you want on your team.

All Antonio Bryant wanted was:

It obviously was not about money because he didn't get a very large deal.

I watched every single Browns game and I can recall three, maybe four, passes that his Bryant in stride that he dropped.

The general rule of if a WR gets his hands on it, he should catch it, is flat out wrong. The lame ducks our QBs threw to all the WRs last year were crap.

Frye has an arm of a girl and Dilfer was passing scared. Balls were all over the place. Nobody respects our offense in this league and there is good reason for it.

You are a fool if you do not think there is a difference between a pass from Frye than a pass from Hassleback, who is a pro-bowler and one of the better QBs in the league. That is just foolish..

Like I said, a lot of people are going to miss the ability of Bryant being able to make plays. Joe is solid, but he isn't going to do anything special. I hope for a speedy recovery from Edwards because now our WR core looks like crap. Joe as the #1 and Cutt as a the #2, Frisman is our three? There are WR cores in College that are better than this one. (Winslow has to be thrown in the mix, but he has caught like two balls in his two years in the NFL...so nobody knows what we have with him.)

AB was a fine player and I don't get how anybody can bash him.

Yeah how many games did your statement apply for?

Hasselbeck didn't come in guns ablazing, we weren't a good offensively built team like Pittsburgh is with Roethlisberger. Didn't have much of an offensive line either most of the time Charlie was running for his life throwing across his body or on the run.

i personally liked Bryant and his ability....Braylon needs to be at 100% as well as Kellen or we have a manillia offense....the explosivness of Braylon and Kellen along with a solid guy like JJ is definatly appealing especially if we can run the ball....Bryant was not as bad as advertised IMO though

This past summer, Carolina reciever Steve Smith personally talked Ricky Proehl out of retirement. Smith said Proehl taught him how to be a professional, how to appraoch a big game and even bigger possessions, how to prepare for an opponent, and the minor tricks of the trade. Obviously, even in his mid-thirties the crafty Proehl can still make some clutch plays as a fourth reciever.

I'm hoping Edwards and Northcutt have the same to say about Joe in a few years.

A Mac, have you ever even played a down of football in your life?

I doubt you have. In the NFL, if a reciever gets his hands on the ball, he should catch it. The drops Bryant had weren't him going after lame ducks that he had to dive for, they were catchable balls. I don't care if the ball takes for ever to get to you, you catch it and hang in there and take the hit. IT'S FOOTBALL, a man's game... go big or go home.

I liked Bryant, but if Savage and Crennell don't think we need him anymore, than we don't need him. He ended up with over 1,000 yards because we had no one to throw to down the stretch.

I have, but you have no clue what you are talking about.

That rule is over rated...a WR can get his hands on a lot of balls, it doesn't mean it was a good throw and he should have caught it.

Like I said, you are a fool to believe there isn't a difference between the quality of passes from the scrubs we have at QB in Cleveland than the pro-bowler Joe had in Seattle.

A sprial thrown from Joe Blow is the same thing as a spiral thrown from Seattle's quaterback. If they are both right handed thean the rotaions will be in the same clockwise direction, if they throw the ball with the same velocity and acceleration than it will get their the same time. The hand that holds the football does nothing to the ball, no quterback has magic fingers. A ball that hits you in the freaking numbers should be caught regardless on who throws the ball. Enough with the nonsense, it seems as if Mac is giving Bryant a free pass here...

I know what Mac is saying here.....

But I look at it this way, if Frye gets the ball to him in his area, he's just got to get it regardless the passer...

If the ball gets to him, it's up to him now.... And yes, I feel much better to have a solid reciever that will make the catch, than the guy you had hoped would make the catch...

I found myself hoping Bryant would not drop the ball... I don't think as Browns fans we will have that problem with JJ....

I don't think JJ is better than Bryant in atheltic ability or overall talent... But, I think he is a better fit for this team....Just like I thought RUBE was a better fit for this team...

Lee Suggs and William Green both had a better year last year, what are you talking about.

Both are sorry as hell.... William is a Skee->Rub and Lee needs a red-cross sponsor...

The problem is, the balls were rarely ever dropped if they were at his chest. They were behind, in front, down, high, every where but where the WRs were. And that's just not with AB, Cutt and Braylon had that problem.

Frye has such a girl arm, he is the reason Braylon is out for half the year next year. He constantly underthrows balls and the WRs are all over the place trying to catch his passes.

So there is a HUGE difference from getting a pass from Frye and HBack.
