I could see how some of the vets would dislike Beilein and the way he game plans. Really the adjustments in game and from game to game are too slow.
I could see Beilein focusing on the wrong style to play in the NBA. Most college teams that are successful from year to year have a grind it out style. Dump it down to the bigs to score in the post and play hard defense. You can win in college with a slow pace.
Beilein was always going to have an adjustment period to the NBA. I think he made an adjustment during preseason to the regular season. He just hasn't made another adjustment yet which I think most experience NBA coaches would have to the offense.
I think success in college is finding the style of play best for your roster and sticking to it thick or thin. The NBA is alot more about adjustments and moving around pieces during the game to match up and exploit the other team. NBA rosters are alot more fluid and usually have alot of versatile depth. College rosters are pretty much set in stone and can be very lopsided with different positions and talent.
