Exactly Love came out and spoke to the media. He didn't need to do it behind closed doors. My guess is others did it privately. Love had the guts to just let loose on the media for the world to see.
I’m not sure that I’d call it guts as much as it is either stupidity or perhaps a ploy to try to get a plane ticket out of town? My tendency is to think it’s the latter. The Cavs really don’t want to trade Love, but he may be forcing their hand. Of course, his poor play of late isn’t going to help a deal happen.

Guts is a relative term when I'm comparing him to the anonymous weasels that don't even have the decency to speak out publicly. He spoke his mind. And lets be honest he was telling the truth so I am not sure how its stupid. He likely does want out and his current performance won't effect his value much. Teams know what they will get with a motivated KLove. The question is if Altman will ever find an offer enticing enough to pull the trigger. If all the offers are contract swaps and 2nds it makes no sense to pull the trigger.

Is it me or does it seem like Beilein falls asleep with his rotations? Starters are doing really well, 2 key contributors go to the bench and we go from a 2-4 point differential to 20 points because he sticks with a poor performing lineup for too long.

Too many offensive liabilities to put 2 out of 3 key guys on the bench (Love, Sexton, Cedi)

That unit needs scoring. Replacing Clarkson with Exum is not possible with Nance and Henson on the floor.

I agree Exum doesn't seem like the answer right now for the second unit. Garland and KPJ won't be able to consistently holding down the scoring load without a 3rd scorer. I thought Exum would be the first guy off the bench for Garland to play with the starters instead of Delly. Playing Knight might be the answer for the second unit until he is traded or Windler is ready. If they want to play Exum, they might have to bench Delly.

If Exum is able to play, I like pairing him with either Sexton or Garland, as a relief to Porter. Depends on his conditioning. I don't see him as a delly replacement as I don't think he has that passing skill. I especially like him if he can hit the three ball and play decent defense. But I think that has been his target for his entire experience in the league and he has not risen to it.

As for scorers, we dropped Clarkson who was an actual scorer. I think we will look for a scorer in return for the love trade. But probably someone old on a bad contract.

KP >> Start
Sexton >> off bench

I think KPJ probably should take Cedi's starter spot at some point. I think they are playing KPJ at SF for a reason. Garland, Sexton, and KPJ are our top 3 young players. You can keep all of them happy starting and Exum can be the #3 guard to sub in for either Garland or Sexton at SG to match up better on defense. Garland or Sexton can run the second unit depending on the talent we have off the bench.

I think Delly is just a bandaid player who doesn't have a long term future in the league because how much he seems to be wearing down. They need both Sexton and Garland to be able to playmake. Exum might reduce that need somewhat and can be more of a long term piece but at some point they need to move on from Delly and ask the guards to be PGs.

I don't understand, why Beilein is messing with the bench....

Only reason I can think of is they want to evaluate which of the non-young guys they can move. They want to see who has chemistry with who so they can move the expirings without hurting development.

Delly, Henson, TT, Mckinnie, Knight, and Love could all be moved but then the question is if they will have a 8 or 9 man rotation that can still compete. I don't think they want to go back to a team that constantly gets blown out.

He traded Clarkson. That leaves no options but to try to figure out a new rotation.

The second unit that Beilein went to the night Clarkson was trade was just fine and didn't shake up things too much. For a coach who hasn't made many adjustments throughout the season, he seems to be really changing things up alot the last two games.

Nance had to start and KLove sat out. Clearly couldn't have been the same rotation.

Nance was out the night Clarkson was moved. The second unit was Garland, Knight, KPJ, Mckinnie, and Henson. He could have went to that second unit last night and reinserted Nance back into it when Love was healthy. Beilein decided to have Garland and Sexton change up their rotations completely. Sexton went out first last night and ran with the second unit more. They then had Garland play with Delly more than usual so he ended up with less time with KPJ.

Knight shouldn't play. He's complete trash.
