Got it. Yea, definitely agree on that. I thought you were implying having a quick trigger to fire coaches will make it tougher for Cavs to find a decent replacement without significantly overpaying.

The coaching blunders by Koby & co. to me could be the nail in his coffin. I think he's done mostly well at asset accumulation, talent evaluation, and making opportunistic trades, but four coaches in three years doesn't exactly inspire confidence in any type of plan.

In fairness, he only hired Beilen and JBB. Lue and drew were hear first

It's still awful organizational stability. Firing Lue after 6 games into the 2018 season signaled no clear plan by the FO or a quick pivot away from a plan.

An ideal handling of a less-than-ideal situation IMO would have been determining we didn't have a competitive roster before the 2018 season, firing Lue before the start of the season, and bringing on a young / young-ish player development coach right then.

The Beilein / JBB fiasco just adds on to the coaching mismanagement.

Ultimately, it's management's job to project things out. And the coaching carousel has been disastrous.

IIRC Dan thought we could be competitive. He had to see that we were bad before he would believe it.

Nows the time for JBB to do what he was born to do, lose us every game, get us that too 5 pick then pack your bags and gtfo this off season

Just a reminder that this organization put a clause in his contract (as an assistant) to give him a multi-year contract as Head Coach if Beilein resigned or was let go.

Total ineptitude.

His Daddy probably helped Koby in writing the contract...

So let's see... If Bickerstaff wanted that multi-year bag, he needed Beilein out of the picture fast.

Is that how we structured the deal? Am I reading this correctly?

Gilbert likes having a brotha in waiting for his out-of-the-box coaching hires of old white men with no NBA experience. Worked for Ty, worked for JBB, it’ll work the next time Dan does this. Although it might be Ms. Gottlieb who gets the heir apparent assistant coaching slot next time instead of an African-American - who knows. Question is who will be the next fossil hired as HC by Dan.

That deal for JBB is a beauty if it’s true.

I want to think that JBB is like Mark Jackson for the GSW, and we will take the next step with our own white future coach Kenny "The Villain" Atkinson along with a fresh new toy in the offseason.

JBB is gonna have to make the playoffs a few times before he’s Mark jackson.

Credit where it’s due, and not just because of tonight’s result.

He’s improving as a coach. Hope he continues to trend in the right direction.

Makes a huge difference when nearly everyone on the court is an offensive threat. They have to play Love and Wade on the perimeter which opens a lot for Garland and Sexton. Most teams have been ignoring Okoro, but he’s beginning to make that a less appealing option. Throw in a night like Prince had and we are reasonably hard to defend.

no JB tonight due to "personal issues" and not, as previously reported, due to "Personnel Issues"

First game without Bickerstaff a 20 point blowout . Yes I am a hater
