call me crazy but i thought the offense was totally fine last night and easily good enough to beat the Raptors, i just can't remember a time when they missed so many open shots (especially from 3)

The offense was just high PnR, taking turns with Okoro in the corner completely ignored by the defense just bricking 3's.

Not only did he start though he got more minutes then Cedi and Levert, also nobody can convince me Okoro is a better player then Neto

We also had no options at back up power forward and center, so by that logic let’s start Rolo and Isaiah because we need Mobley and Wade for scoring off the bench. And then let’s start Neto.

As bad as Cedi and Levert can be they 100x the player Okoro is
I don’t get why Neto is nailed to the end of the bench. He looks playable whenever he gets in. He plays hard on defense and can shoot and create. Our offense was stale as could be for good portions of the game and guys were tired. What could it have hurt to give a guy with fresh legs some run?

Neto is a bad defender, he plays the passing lanes right, but that is all, he gets beat and cant switch.

His passing isnt great for a PG either.

He is a great in case of emergency signing, and looks great compared to Nembhard, but really doesnt provide what we want from the position so best to keep his minutes down. This board and all sports message board tend to love the guy not getting minutes. I got it with Diakite, he seems to be a legit rotational player, but Neto is a great addition for a bit above the league min, but there is a reason he was available for almost league min. Dont hate the guy, but with a healthy Mitchell AND Garland, DNP's are just fine.

Who coaches this team? Love or Jbb. Why does he cower to love anytime love wants a replay even though you should never use one before 3 minutes because if the game is close it's a 95 percent chance there will be something to challenge, plus it's not worth wasting a timeout.

Yeah our challenge rate this year has to be bad. Feels like we never win.

Love can at least rebound and get hot from 3. Okoro is the bigger problem. He can't do anything, and I have zero confidence in him getting hot. As does every team that plays us.

Being a 21 year old top 5 draft pick does not give you license to suck without consequences. If JBB ever gets fired, I predict Okoro to be the catalyst and it will be deserved.

I'm just complaining about anytime love fouls he doesn't think it's a foul starts motioning to challenge even though it's in the 2nd quarter sometimes and JBB listens to him. Why would you risk a timeout and your only challenge before 3 minutes left in the game when if it's close you'll need both.

so what you are saying is that a guy named isaac okoro is essentially going to get jbb fired?.....ala durant/nash?

oh my.

FWIW, I'm pretty sure the Cavs have a replay guy sitting directly behind the bench. He has a screen that he can watch replay's and make the split second decisions. That's who Love went directly to and wanted him to tell JB to review it. The replay guy must have thought there was enough there to take a second look.

Sure, sometimes JB is the one who makes the final call and he can overrule, but this one definitely seemed like he followed the advice of his staff.

You're right though. Kevin needs to not force the issue when it's a clear foul. If he's doing it as part of an act to argue or have a future call go his way, sure that's fine. If that's the case though, he needs to have some sort of code that lets the coaching staff know he doesn't really want it to be reviewed.

I don't care if it's the most obvious wrong call. Don't use the challenge in the 2nd quarter, or 3rd quarter, and probably the first half of the 4th quarter.

Just makes zero strategic sense.

This guy is freaking horrible. Fucking disaster performance in the late fourth quarter.

If they’re expecting him to figure out the Garland-Mitchell dynamic, it’s not gonna work. He can’t even come up with basic plays out of timeouts.

Umm, not really for sure what game you’re watching but tonight’s game definitely rests on Garland being careless with the ball but carry on if coach hate is your agenda.
