That’s because JBB has no answers other than Garland generating 99% of the offense via hero iso ball.
That game was 99% winnable if Garland just took better care of the ball. Don’t see how you can blame the coach here for Garland‘s lack of concentration, after all, Garland is the point guard.

Umm, not really for sure what game you’re watching but tonight’s game definitely rests on Garland being careless with the ball but carry on if coach hate is your agenda.
Garland orchestrated the run that out the Cavs up 7 late. Then he was inexplicably taken out, only to be subbed back in when Mobley went out.

The Cavs built that lead with a Garland/Mobley pick and roll and then all the momentum was washed away by one of the worst substitution patterns I’ve ever seen.

If your franchise point guard that you just signed to a 200 million dollar contract can’t be on the floor the last 6 minutes of a close game, consecutively, then the coach royally fucked up the rotation. Same can be said for the 21 year old roll man and lockdown defender.

Is it not a back to back game tomorrow? Dude needed a rest. He was exhausted and has to do it all again tomorrow. He STILL needs to take better care of the ball. It’s becoming a trend. Just saying, seemed like Garland was playing careless hero ball. That’s on him. We can blame coach for something else tomorrow, no doubt.

I didn’t see careless hero ball until after he was subbed out with the Cavs on a run. And again, he came back in to a lineup without Mobley. I’m just not sure what he was supposed to make happen in that group.

Minutes can and should be managed ahead of closing time not in the middle of it.

If you’re at the 5 minute mark, your franchise guys shouldn’t be coming out, period. I’d rather you coach for the win right there and let tomorrow come.

Garland played like shit down the stretch and he was also put in position to do so. Both things can be true.

Cavs play like slugs. For a young team we rarely run. We dont hunt plays to get good three point shots and no secondary break actions. PNR action is great but severely hampered due to lack of shooting/spacing. Mobley needs to develop as a 3pt shooter and FO needs to find a reliable 3&D SF in the off season for this team to really achieve greatness.

The most frustrating part is we know he will never be fired as long as Koby is the gm

Garlands being limited due to the team playing at such a slow pace.

Garland plays at a slow pace. That's how he wants to play.

Go back to the Sexton years. Sexton would get the ball and try to push it up and Garland wouldn't.

That's on him, for the most part.

I think it limits most of the other guys on our team more than Garland, but it limits everyone. Outside of RoLo. It’s hard enough for us to get good looks.

Then it should be coached out of him, it's killing the team. I guess I blame them both, they play at the slowest pace in the league it has to be intentional.
