Kalimba Edwards Close...

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
I'm looking for big things from Chaun Thompson.... The guy is just so RAW... But the talent is there for anyone to see...

Hopefully another year in this system with some improved talent around him will allow him to flourish....

^^double that. A lot of people want to give up on him already. With a good DL, Chaun could be a beast.

If you look the first season Chaun saw any playing time it was when Dave Campo was instituting a totally new defensive scheme. Then a year later his first year after being a regular every down LB Romeo comes in and installs the 3-4. So this guy has never had time to get comfortable with a scheme and we didn't have jack talentwise to operate the 3-4 last season.

Andra Davis was quoted last summer saying you need to look out for Chaun he can outbench me and runs a faster 40 then me, I'm just trying to compete with that kid. He is a physical beast who can get to the sidelines with the snap of a finger, this will be his 2nd season in the same scheme and with talent hopefully gathering around him I'm looking for big things.

I dont know whta the exact percentages are, but if you tak to people whom play football at the college level they will tell you that it is more important to be in the correct position than it is to be fast/strong. Im not saying I know all kinds of people playing college ball but I have heard that many times.

Thompson reminds me of Gooden, athletically gifted but I dont know if he can get the schematics, sp?, through his head.

I was listening to KNR and one gentleman said his sources tell him that Edwards and his agent want to sign in Cleveland, however it's his dad who doesn't want him to sign here... :thumbdown

Screw his Dad, what does he think this is the 2005 nfl draft? He can either sign here and start making good money on a team on the rise or go play for a good team get burried on the bench for less money. It's his choice...god that pisses me off..

Maybe his dad and Kellen's dad are brothers.

Why would you watn to go back to the Lions, I guess if hes dumb enough to go back to the Lions than Im glad hes not on our team.

Yeah, I'll admit Cleveland isn't exactly a place where lots of free agents want to be yet. But the Lions? Thats one of the few situations in the NFL which is currently much worse. I think they are the worst record of the past 5 years or decade if I remember correctly.

20 Million and 8 Million up front....He made the right decision...

He was not going to get anywhere near that here..
