this thread is about to be unbearable but i want it to be known the guy had one hell of a playoff run. He will have ended up in foul trouble for 1 game in the finals and everyone is going to blame him for the loss.

Simply put kevin love brings a dimension to this team that very few other players can.

So it's really Kevin Love's fault we lost against a team with 4 future HOFs, and Iggy as their 5th best player?

He didn't play great tonight, but, if anything tonight shows you the margin of error we can't have to beat this team. Everyone has to play perfect, constantly, and that's not realistic.

If we had Klay's production in the finals, fans would be shipping him out the door, too.

No, it's not his fault he isn't a good fit to play against this team, or that he's a PF in a guard driven league.

But he is an asset we can use to make the roster better. We won a ring wth him, I understand looking at him through wine colored glasses. If we want to beat GSW though, it won't be with him.

I mean you have to look HARD into trading him, but there are still only a select few guys you trade him for. Two being PG and Butler. I don't really think there are many, if any, other KLove trades that actually help this team. I love KLove, but if you can get PG or Butler for him someway you do those trades all day long, although for me I'd have done those trades all year long. I'm not convinced any trade actually happens.

PS: Swapping PG for Love is most certainly not swapping seats on the titanic, come on now people. You are either seriously underrating PG or overrating Love.

The refs took him out of his rhythm early with 2 quick fouls. Then his coach forgot about him and played Shump instead. Kevin need touches and rhythm to get going.

Again, not being able to get your own points is why Love is expendable. You can talk to me about rebounds and foul trouble, but the bottom line is Love combined for 15 points on 18% shooting in the close games in this series.

That's not nearly good enough and is the reason why he won't be here next here. He had some big moments, but overall the consistency and post presence we hoped for didn't materialize.

Exactly. You have to force him the ball.

Something you don't have to do with guards because the ball is swinging and constantly changing hands on the perimeter.

Okay, so you get PG for Kevin. Now there's an enormous hole at PF. Who's going to fill that?

Just disappointing how he reacted to the early fouls. Yes he could not find an early rhythm, but he came out tentative on both ends in the second quarter with the team in a good position. Had to wait for the 4th quarter for him to show the aggressive edge that he has been bringing the rest of the finals, playoffs even, and by that stage it was settled.

Trade talk will go crazy the rest of the Summer.

You can't play with 5 guards. And Love is not a good fit, in a guard league? Huh?

He's the definition of a stretch 4, and is pivotal to the space game in the NBA. He's a really good defensive rebounder, and he's a pretty good defender.

I think people are going to under appreciate Love, if we make the silly mistake of trading him, and then realizing he was much better than we appreciated him for.

Our problem isn't Love, or Irving, and naturally not LeBron. Even JR I think is solid to keep.

Our bench is so fucking useless, and, we don't have a fourth player that resembles an all-star talent, like GS has.

Love might be collateral damage here. I don't think he deserves to be moved but there's no other way to improve the roster fit wise.

It just is what it is. After this series, I'm not sure how you just roll the ball back out and hope for a different result.

I wouldn't trade him but I'm not sure what else we can do. Unless we somehow get a player for free.

Kevin I love you... If it was a different time this couldve worked... but its unfortunate you will have to go

I think Love is gone :(

Lebron is the best 4 on this team. You get a chance at a top 10 player who is a wing I think you gotta take it.

I understand people want to bring up how perfectly we have to play to beat them but the truth is their core can get better also.

I don't think keeping Love + adding someone like melo is going to get it done.

This will be a interesting offseason that's for sure. If they do decide to keep Love I understand but I personally don't think Lebron's current blueprints are going to work against the Warriors with this trio anymore.

We can get by in the RS with LBJ and PG taking turns and not being too physical to keep themselves fresh. However, once the playoffs come, Lebron is can play the 4 better than anyone else in the league.
