He's balled out in this series. I really don't think you can move him straight up for George and get better, and that's not just because of this series. You don't find a lot of guys that can do everything he can do, and be willing to take a step back in the offense to do it.

If you want to get George, fine. Try it. But you have to keep the big three intact.

This can't be serious.

I know we all have a Kevin Love soft spot but.... come on.

Swapping George for Love may as well be rearranging deck chairs on the Titanic. It doesn't significantly upgrade the team.
It would allow LeBron to rest for 3 minutes without getting obliterated. In that alone it brings a new element to the team.

But Love has been outstanding this series. I don't want to talk about this until the series is over.

Does moving Love for George put us over GS? And why would we trade Kevin (on a longer contract), for George that's on a one-year deal, and could straight up bolt if he doesn't like playing here?

Especially with Kevin Love defending like this, why would we want to trade him? He's our best defensive rebounder. We're not a good defensive rebounding team. He's defending well for his position, and he's better suited as a third option offensively.

We need to add on to what we have. Not sure how trading any of the big-3 solves getting us closer to a title.

Kevin she's planing something EXTRA EXTRA special, but only if you WIN again tonight!

Trading Love for George does anyone for us that bridges the gap between us and GSW, getting us closer to more titles;

1) Adding George would make our offense that much more dynamic - we add another guy who can get his own shot off the dribble, and drive and kick - which is so important in today's NBA. You just can't have one guy on the floor who can get penetration, like when LeBron sits with Kyrie. This leads to a lot of ISO-ball. Love can do two things, and it's post up and spot up. George changes that and makes us much harder to defend because he can do both and more. We can move to more of a passing style offense, and allows us to play much much more free flowing and position less.

2) To that point he vastly improves us defensively, especially with reference to GSW. He can switch every screen, and play valuable minutes on Durant or the other teams best player that gives the King ultra valuable on floor rest.

3) piggybacking off that point as well, he allows LeBron to get ultra valuable off court rest as well - by holding leads by giving us that more dynamic offense. He also would allow us to win regular season games without LBJ with much more regularity - ask yourself if you swapped Love and George on the Pacers are they even a playoff team? He'll no.

4) this is most important. It vastly improves on our championship window. A core of George/Irving could likely compete in the East now without LeBron. As he ages he will need the support players to provide much much more than what they can currently. The proof is in the cards guys. Awful regular season without him and huge (-) deficit with him off the floor.

Listen, I really do love Kevin Love. He's already cemented himself as one of the greatest Cavaliers ever imo. 0 will hang in the rafters one day. However, I won't let my love for Love cloud my judgement when it comes to getting better as an overall basketball team, and George just does that.

No points in 11 minutes at halftime. This thread is on its way to adding some pages. Mr. Inconsistent
