When, will this team get any calls because I saw the last few minutes of the first half and couldn't believe the referees wasn't calling fouls on the Raptors. Garland and Allen were getting hit and I already knew what type of game it was. I don't understand, why this team can't get the calls most teams get.

They keep saying they're going to enforce the landing zone rule but opponents still not allowing Sexton and Garland any space. Sexton, Garland and Allen gets pushed and hit all the time when they're near the basket but get nothing.

I heard Allen was frustrated(didnt see the second half) because of the non-calls by the referees.

I don't like it. Garland is going to get hurt because they give defenders a lot of leeway to knock him around when he goes to the basket. Dunno about the groin, but Collins ankles were injured specifically because they allowed defenders to undercut him repeatedly with no calls.

I'm sorta willing to give Love a pass on this one owing to overall frustration, although it's not a very good look... especially since, as guys have said, he's not exactly been Mr. Reliable over the course of this season. But he gets the pass because, I mean, he did give me a championship.

Hard to believe, though, that he hasn't figured out yet that nobody truly takes you seriously when you behave like a toddler. Mental health issues be damned.

Love's beef was with the official. He and the officials were going at it for like 3-4 possessions for different reasons. The refs were letting Birch pretty much do whatever he wanted all night to both Love and Allen as he was just playing harder and being aggressive and that last play Love felt he got pushed, the ref basically threw him the ball flippantly as if to say "play on and shut up" and that was how Love responded.

I picked up on it in real time.

That's not an excuse for how he compromised what the young guys were working their asses off to do. He took their legs out from under them on those possessions and that last flip resulting in the 3 was the white flag from their "leader".

You can literally see Garland like "what do I do here?"

The most frustrating thing for me, is I've been defending him and quantifying his presence/leadership after he basically got half the season off to just be a cheerleader and this right here is the kind of shit that can undo any and all leadership that you try to show some young impressionable aspiring professionals.

They went down by 10 early to a recent NBA Champion who were fighting tooth and nail and make the playoffs, and they fought back with contributions from guys like Broderic Thomas and Dean Wade finally seeing a break in the clouds from recent funk/DNPs and in the middle of that, he did this over the course of 4-5 possessions that completely threw the competitive balance in the game.

In the big picture, we were leadership void allowing for Drummond-KPJ locker positions and sweatshirt subliminal messages to fester and undermine a group of individuals growing and improving collectively, and the return of Love and Delly seemed to offer stability and direction for the young guys despite his declining play.

I'm willing to look past a lot off the court as long as you step between the lines and give it everything. I hated seeing that last night and if I were his teammate, I wouldn't trust or respect that. Don't do that publicly and then apologize privately. Be accountable and address it because the optics of it have all of your current teammates being ridiculed and measured against the past championship team as if they aren't worth your effort or respect

(and right on cue, Garland says he's going to get a better understanding of this on twitter)

Yeah that's the thing. He has to realize how it doesn't matter who he was mad at, it hurts his team. It makes people think he hates being there and hates his team no matter where it was directed.

Birch was an asshole and got him the ball way out of position

Here’s an extended clip.

Big time bonehead play.

Its a horrible look for Love, awful. But here are a few facts.

He is signed for 2 more years for 30 mill per after this year, he wont get bought out yet.

Kevin Love is not the future of this team, the young kids are, and it doesnt even look like Love is the present.

He helped us win a championship, I will always love him for that, no pun...just a fact

Next year is probably the last full year he will be on the team, his final year he will get bought out at some time.

Hes got

Hes averaging more points, on better shooting, with almost triple the assists as Love...

What does a 2nd year guard who plays for Houston have anything to fucking do with Love. I scored 40 points at the YMCA in my over 40 league. Same impact the KPJ has on the Cavs.

KPJ has mental issues. They tried to get him help by shipping to Houston. I ignore most people talking about him. But this is the Kevin Love thread, stop bringing KPJ shit into this thread, what Kevin did was bad enough, but not sure why KPJ has anything to do with it. I am sorry we traded your man crush. He did allot of bad things that you have no knowledge of. The cavs drafted him, they wanted it to work out. Just stop brining him up in any thread outside of the KPJ thread.

Love and Cavs turmoil just goes together

IMO the ref was wrong too, how the ref handled it was garbage too. But man did it look bad for Love. But that shouldnt have been a live ball. Love was in no position to take it, and the ref through an equally bad fit like an 8 year old also. Both need to be better, but its only Love that matters to the Cavs.

Of course,he has no problem with it....
Frye's comment is such bullshit.

If the FO and coaching staff were deliberately trying to lose games, I'd understand Frye's position a lot more. But this is a rebuilding team that has been absolutely ravaged by injuries, and those guys who weren't injured were out on the floor busting their asses.

If Love wanted to show emotion, how about playing like you're pissed off, and trying to wreck some people. Give a few hard fouls. Inspire the young guys. But instead, the emotion Love showed was that of a petulant, pouty little bitch.

So yeah, I have a real freaking problem with Love chosing to shown his emotion by pouting like a bitch
