I hated Love from the very beginning. I tried telling ya'll. Players that do not give any effort defensively and pout have shitty personalities.. it is known.
Nothing lures me out like a chance to crap on Kevin Love. I was adamant about not trading Wiggins for him, which looks bad in hindsight, but I think we still win a championship without Kevin Love. I can't remember what my old username used to be, I think it was LukeJackson33 or something, but I had posts upon posts talking about his zero effort on defense and his empty stats on a bad T-wolves team. And now that he's hot he's gotten even softer and more unbearable, like Rick Vaughn in Major League II

I often cited how TT would shut him down and how his conditioning was bad, which was why his scoring reduced as the game went on. We were right about Love, but wrong about Wiggins. I wanted Thad Young and was pissed we didn't get him in that trade

I can simultaneously argue that the Cavs win a championship in 2015 with a healthy Love, talk about how instrumental he was in 2016 in more ways than just "the stop" while also recognizing his extreme shortcomings since signing that contract. Love has been instrumental and ground breaking as an athlete speaking up and advocating for mental healthy (winning the Arthur Ashe Courage Award for it) and that has given him a certain level of positive equity in sports media that has afforded him some protection from criticisms.

Imagine Koby telling Love to stay home? Even if he was absolutely justified after whatever inevitable incident occurs with Love, he would be eviscerated by the media. I don't think it's merely the injuries or play but the attitude and entitlement issues that have rubbed me the wrong way. I wish we lived in an alternate reality where Kevin Love got everything he wanted (Sexton traded + Clarkson kept + whatever else he blames the Cavs for not doing) just so he can see every possibility with him as the best player ends up in the lower half of the lottery.

Anybody that thinks the Cavs could have won that 2016 title without Love is fooling themselves. Wiggins couldn’t have produced the shooting nor the rebounding that Love provided. Love’s presence and outside threat on the floor opened up the lanes for Kyrie and LBJ. If Love had been healthy in 2015 we would have been back to back champs. Love’s first three years here he was one of only four players in the league in each of those years to average 17 and 13! Love wasn't as flashy and dominant as Kyrie and LeBron but flash doesn’t win championships! Consistency does.

If he had been healthy and if Kyrie hadn't been an asshole we'd have had a nice run.

I hope Love can spend some time teaching rebounding fundamentals to Mobley. Say what you want about Love, but when it comes to boxing out and getting boards the guy is a real technician. Despite the different body type, I think he could show the young fellow a thing or two.

2015-16 depends what the Cavs would have done ex-Love. I still think Wiggins gets traded due to being a mediocre prospect. May have panned out better.

Thank you…..somebody that recognizes what a healthy K Love brings to the table. Even if he’s not healthy enough to play he can still work with/teach Mobley in practice.

No one argues that Love's skill set is one that would benefit Mobley. It's what the organization would get with that transference of skills. Is he gonna be moody? Aloof? An asshole? If it was just rebounding, passing, shooting, etc, we'd all be extremely happy. None of us want this personality traits to impact the young guys.

I have this feeling that y'all have no idea the extent of terrible Andrew Wiggins value is, was, and will be.

Timberwolves mortgaged their future to dump him. Think about it... he's already Love level of negative and in the prime of his career.

Love never averaged 13 rebounds per game in any single season with the Cavs.

Cavs couldn’t have won without Richard Jefferson who outplayed love.

My bad…..10 rebounds a game. Typing too fast and didn’t proof read. But my point is during that time only three other players averaged 17 and 10

Reminder that Kevin Love averaged 8 points and 7 rebounds on 34% shooting (27% from 3) in the 2016 Finals

cant believe we’re still having this argument

ok he had some good games in earlier playoff rounds, mostly in blowouts...

cant believe we’re still having this argument

So you can't believe a successful reality is being defended against a hypothetical alternative?

Good luck with that!
