Looks like I'll have to apologize for my username again after tonight.
Meh, one game. No need for people to completely lose their shit but what can you do. Love did look pretty pissed after the game. He’s starting to figure out his 2016 teammate is no friend of the Cavaliers and was out to prove a point tonight. I knew LeBron would be in Game 7 mode tonight but it doesn’t matter because winning this game means nothing for the Lakers. They’re the ninth or tenth seed and will be first round roadkill if they get that far.

Fact is we don’t have anyone to guard LeBron. Okoro could do it if he was a couple inches taller. Our bigs just aren’t physical enough, which is why Embiid is also a problem for us.

I was going to watch the 2nd half after an evening nap, but the game thread had enough hot takes to warm an oven. Looks like a legitimately poor defensive effort, though, based on the score. I remember predicting we'd win one of our remaining LA games. We beat the Clips, lost to the Lakers.

The takes were hotter than a blast furnace. We stunk, but the game thread itself caught fire like the Cuyahoga.

The Lakers star still wants to secure the wedding invite.

When he returned to Cleveland on Monday night, Lakers star LeBron James brought along a special gift for former Cavaliers teammate Kevin Love: a monstrous slam dunk.

In the second quarter of Monday’s game between the Lakers and the Cavs, James cut into an open lane after an offensive rebound. He caught the pass from Austin Reaves and began to rise up over Love, who stood helplessly under the basket. James then flushed down the one-handed dunk to tie the game at 60.

The slam was the highlight of the 37-year-old’s latest masterpiece this season. However, he admitted postgame he felt guilty the dunk had to be on his former teammate.

“To be completely honest, I hated that it had to be him,” James said with a smile postgame. “He’s my guy. That’s my brother. And I hope I’m still invited to [Love's] wedding. That’s not even in my all-time dunks so I’ll take it out. I didn’t mean it. K-Love, I love you and I take it back. I wish I could take those two points back and we still win the game by nine.”

Love’s pride might’ve been hurt in the moment, but he made it sound like he won’t harbor a grudge for too long. He joked on Twitter that he might need a few days to cool off.

James and Love also shared an exchange right after the game. The Cavaliers forward came over and jokingly wrested the Lakers star to the ground before the two embraced.

The dunk encapsulated James’s dominant performance against his former team in Cleveland on Monday. He poured in 38 points, adding 12 assists and 11 rebounds en route to the Lakers 131–120 win.

Los Angeles improved to 31–41 on the year with the victory.

Ugh.

Is there anything more humiliating and embarrassing than a guy apologizing for dunking on you?

That's the ultimate "you're my bitch" move.

The number 1 pick in the draft a few years into his career saying he would sit out the whole season if he’s not traded and then not a single team in the NFL wanting to trade for you has to be up there.

Gassed by game 60.

Fun while it lasted to be fair, this season is going to be a terrible "what if" around the Rubio injury, people might look at his numbers and shrug but his influence was massive, got players shots in their spots in rhythm, Love especially benefited from this, defensive organizer and by some distance the best basketball brain in the organization.

Disappointing end to a once fun season. He and the Cavs suck now, and the joy is gone.

I'm checked out after the Bulls game tonight and just hope things start looking up again next season.

Thing with Love is that it's nice to have a guy who can just get hot and make bad shots off the bench. Like an immobile Jordan Clarkson.

Just paid way way less.

Disappointing that we have had injury after injury, wearing down an already tired young team. I don't think we have had our starting lineup and rotation together since a few weeks before the all star break. Cleveland curse.

True. But, one guy has surpassed every expectation in terms of availability and games played. That would be Kevin Freaking Love.

Somebody needs to grave-dig the poll about how many games Love would play this season. One of the biggest fails in polling history as far as people underestimating a player.

His effectiveness drops off a cliff with over-use (thanks JB) but he is still playing and as healthy as he's been in many years (knocking furiously on wooden objects).

We'll see how he looks next year, but he can't be apart of the rotation. He's way too bad on defense. He can be a guy who still on the team see if he catches fire when you need it quick if not he can't be on the court. Rather play Brown. I rather play all these young guys with energy honestly
