It’s wild cause Kevin Love has transformed himself into one of the greatest and most revered Cleveland Cavaliers of all time…. He did it slowly, peaks & valleys, but legit is an all time Cavalier legend….

People thinking the Cavaliers are gonna trade Love, or that they'll happily let him walk this summer may want to rethink that...

We absolutely have to bring him back. We can’t lose his production off the bench. His game is going to age gracefully too. Plus, he should retire here.
I want to keep K Love as well but the question you have to ask. with his contract expiring, that would be very value at the tradeline. what player (SF) could we get compared to keeping him. Then if we did trade him maybe in comes back next year.

I think the answer is absolutely nobody.

I don't think a player exists that is both better than Love and would be traded for an expiring contract without first round picks attached.

He's not coming back if he's traded which would never happen.

Kevin has battled emotional / behavioral/ anxiety issues during much of his career. It looks like he’s overcome all that.

In his early years with our team he played better when he was pissed - not annoyed and petulant, but genuinely angry. It was like an internal voice yelled “Fuck this I’m going in on these guys” and he wrecked the game.

He always had tremendous talent and skills but just couldn’t or wouldn’t apply himself consistently, plus he was battling injuries.

THANK YOU COLANGELO. That old fart really pissed Kevin off. That plus our positive energy locker room and the guys fully accepting him has revitalized his career, and the decision to have him come off the bench and play < 24 minutes was brilliant.

Now he is a devastating weapon, and when we get Rubio back …

So glad he’s turned it around and become a force for us.

Plus, we're currently an all-in contending team. You can't let guys like Love walk when they're contributing positively and helping you win games.

I want to retain Love, but if some team offers you a starting-caliber SF for Love's expiring + fluff, you take it.

Same thing goes in the offseason...if it's between re-upping Love or having the money available for that player of need who fits the timeline and wants to be here, you go with the latter.
