As if it is any indication at all of where they are headed after two games. 1-1 so they are a 500 team whoohoo smh?
imo it is the problem with building through the draft though, having only the option to watch years of bad basketball in Cleveland if you bother watching now and reading so many of these over reaction takes about who is the problem or who is the next savior is laughable.
The org understands they will lose most fans until the winning returns, but Mobley looks like the best draft pick they have had in a long time, so these types of fans that always show up for a month or so will probably linger a little longer this season to act like they care about the process. Truth is their true colors are they follow winning and jump off the wagon the minute things get tough.
But, in this case I guess at least some fans probably understand you cannot take short cuts no matter how tough it is to watch or how much they try to get these kids to change their games to match their less than perfect roster construction.
The rotations have been odd but we already knew JBB was going to juggle with them all preseason. I would like to see some of the 15-20 players in these otherwise useless games where other teams besides CHI wont even suit up most starters against the lowly lowly Cavs . Ballock and RJ deserve a shot at a g-league contract and this is the time to see what they got.

This is such a bad trade for us. Getting off Love's contract is not worth giving up our 2nd and 4th best asset and getting a lazy malcontent who doesnt care about basketball and only about bright lights back.
I agree with this. You are losing a lot of young talent for a guy who doesn't want to be on a contender that fits his skills and hides his weaknesses very well.

That's a Beal package if picks are added. Which I do all day.

One thing that we need to see is Darius to be more aggressive. Until he becomes more assertive; its really hard for me to hitch my wagon to him.

Okoro is trash, Sexton has a chaotic play style that isn't team ball oriented. Definitely 6th man of the year, and if the Cavs classify him being the 6th man, his ego will be bruised, so he needs to go elsewhere to accept his defining role as a player in the NBA. This trio of players will be one or the better packages that Philly could bring in and compete right away. Love next to Embiid, Sexton off the bench, and Okoro being a JAG.

Okoro has played one whole season of basketball. The level of knee jerk here is impressive.

Sexton is a proven scorer. Can't say that about anyone else on our team other than maybe Lauri.

None of your points tell me why Cleveland does this. Love might have a shit attitude but its better than Simmons's AND his contract is shorter. No matter how you look at it, that deal is fucking awful for the Cavs

Ben wants a team that is built around him. We want to build a team around Mobley.

Can't do both.

dream on Morey wont accept that offer and the cavs are not giving up that much offense for a non shooter no matter how much passing and rebounding he does before the shot clock runs out with him passing up dunks and lay ups. bad player who is getting banned soon imo and the most overrated 1 pick of all time that wasnt a complete bust.

Just can’t take the team seriously until Koby is fired. The roster make up is downright embarrassing and we really need to build a proper team around Mobley so he doesn’t leave first chance he gets

He is not going anywhere and there is really only one thing they need to do before the season and that is pay Sexton and give him and Mobley the keys even if that means trading everyone else

Looking at it now, albeit after only 5 games maybe Koby is in the process of nailing the rebuild

Signing Love, not good, but I think it was Gilbert's idea
Taking Sexton at 8 is a big win
Okoro and Garland at 5 ? Jury is out, but they are certainly not busts

Porter Jr. a win and a loss. Win in acquiring him. Big Loss in the way everything was handled. But Porter bares some responsibility as well
Getting Allen for next to nothing....big win

Mobley literally just fell to him so no big win, but he could have dealt that pick

Lauri for Nance is a win in my book, maybe not a big win but a win. Never got the love affair for Nance other than he is local and who is Dad is.

Rubio for Prince is a big win. Not just for production but the influence he will have on Sexland. Right now I would keep Rubio for the year. Getting a second round pick for him is a lesser return than a full year of his influence on all of the youngsters

All in all, a pretty decent job, rebuilding a team when someone like LBJ is not easy

let me know what i missed

are back on team Altman? or is it more tepid this time?

He has done well with the end of the bench finding Lamar and Dean, who are not great, but are good as end of bench break glass in emergency guys.

Injuries happen, and to have 2 guys on minimum contracts who can come in and hold their own is undervalued - Both the Clips and the Nuggs could have used quality bench guys this week. Obviously, those guys don't change the trajectory of a team, but they can be the difference in a handful of games over the course of a season. And a couple of games can be the difference between playoffs and going home, or between a play-in game and getting a seed. Add in that they only take about 3% of our total cap space and they both seem to be good teammates and they really are good gets.

Mobley has literally played 5 games in his career... You don't build around a player until you've at least seen him play. Give Koby some time.

I like these guys much better that the guys we used to have in the Lebron days
