Koby Altman

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
Philly was quick to move on from mistakes: they let of MCW, Okafor, Fultz pretty quickly to get more assets. They also were willing to take risks on injuried players such as Noel and Embiid. Wonder if we're willing to the do the same: because I doubt the Sixers would keep Sexton or Garland for awhile

Hmm...the moved on from those guys only after they realized they landed a big star in Embiid. Like...we can get rid of some of these guys once we find someone we can at least pretend we can build around, I think. As of now, I just don't think you can go around dumping these young kids.

2 months or they gave them all a min of 2 years? MCW was 22 years old his rookie year too. That would be like getting rid of Cedi now which makes more sense than giving up on Garland already.

I don't feel comfortable giving up on guys that early, especially with a new coach. 2 other guys we gave up after 1 year spring to mind. Joe Harris and Danny Green.

I agree it's too early to give up and trade either Sexton or Garland. It makes more sense to try to develop both to be PGs and come back to trying to play them together later on. Sexton needs to become better at setting up the offense and plays for others. Garland just needs to get his confidence up and the reps needed to get him use to the NBA.

At this point both don't have the blend of scoring and properly setting up the offense to efficiently work together. They are too predictable on the floor together and create too many instances of playing less than 5 on 5.

yeah and both can improve their defense.

MCW does was before embiid. Okafur and Noel were dealt after Embiid's injury shortened rookie season. They've been pretty decisive

They also sort of blew the Jimmy Butler thing and lost Shamet who they could use. Smart to move on from Daric though. Mixed bag, but you can't deny the results they are having now.

Embiid is such a good player, but they play better without him.

this clown has turned this team into an embarrassment

Yes it's his fault LeBron left. No matter who was at the helm the moment LeBron left again it was going to be like this. When a generational talent leaves your team you go down and go down quickly.

Heat are an exception because instead of sucking they decided to be mediocre. And despite their record they are still a mediocre team with no chance at getting to the finals let alone winning it all. This is how rebuilds go. Being shitty is better then being mediocre. Look at Bulls since Jordan left aside from a few years with Rose they have been a joke. Did you expect a different outcome? This isn't on Altman. This is the same everywhere when you lose someone like Bron.

Lakers without Kobe (RIP) before Davis joined Bron were a laughing stock. Knicks since Ewing left are biggest joke in NBA history. Kings since CWebb, Bibby, Peja all left are terrible. Find me a team outside of SA or MIA that didn't look like complete shit when they lost elite talent without a replacement. Mavs in their own Category with Doncic already in town to replace Dirk.

I agree 100 percent we still need to trade love and Thompson they have a good young core they just need young legs and some length to run with them

Also Koby wasn't done any favors by Griff with the protections on the pick that went to Atlanta for Korver and the lack of other draft picks.

Koby just really wasn't given much of an option for the path to rebuild this team. We will see what he does at the deadline and in the off-season without having to think about protections on our pick.
