Do Not Sell My Personal Information
This team might not make it out of the 1st round and are definately not going to the finals !

Definitely*

And this post seems to include some recency bias since we just stunk it up against Miami, no? We did just beat the #1 seed in the East - Toronto, and have definitely looked better since Love has been back.

Look, I'm pissed about last night too.. and it wouldn't shock me if we didn't make the Finals... but there's nobody in the East we should be afraid of and until someone stops LeBron from winning the East, we will be the favorite.

Our coaching staff is a buttom three coaching staff easily (toss up with Bulls/Suns). It's crazy how bad they are. They constantly put the team in huge holes with terrible starting lineups because of blind favoritism. Why is Hood still not starting after being giving the job after benching JR??? Why are we starting a backup SF with a bad back and coming off an illness over Nance and Zizic. Who's idea was it to start Jose. Do they not understand there's a shit ton of young dynamic PGs in the league that he simple can't guard due to age so we can't stop their point of attack? They lack basic basketball knowledge.

i think the problem with our staff is that they are slow to make adjustments...it was clear after 5 min last night that we had no chance in that game yet they trotted our JR who immediately looked lost...again...and played Green way tooo much. I’m not saying Holland would catapult us to victory but a good coach has to shake things up every once in a while to see if they can catch lightning.in games like that. they need a younger staff i feel that has new and fresh approaches to the game...our schemes both on offense and defense are atrocious at best

Starting Jeff Green at center is unconscionable when you have Kevin Love, Larry Nance and Ante Zizic on the roster. Starting Jose Calderon with George Hill when you have Rodney Hood on the roster is unconscionable.

This is a team that has LeBron James. It's a team that has been to 3 straight Finals and has aspirations to go to a 4th. Starting two minimum salary guys who should be at the back end of the rotation, with 9 games left of regular season to go, is totally, absolutely, honestly without question preposterous.

Gilbert is complicit for letting shit get this bad; he may as well take a lighter to a stack of money because I don't see how it's any different from the results we've gotten from this coaching staff the past two years.

The Cavs came into Miami averaging a 120 points. 15% from 3 point range and 36% shooting as a team is an anomaly
It is not an anomaly, they played like they have been partying in NYC and Miami for the past how many days...

I was cool with Claderon starting as he has been really good. He should not be playing against large or aggressive guards like he was against Miami. That was the first time I have seen him over his head. Jeff on the other hand... Jesus, can he at least spot up in the corner instead of the wing for 3's? They are literally using him to stretch the floor despite everyone knowing he cant hit a 3

The biggest prob I have with this staff is how cheap they are. No techs or calling refs out and they refuse to take the guys bowling which has been a major hurdle to chemistry

Could you imagine Ty Lue or Larry Drew doing this? There’s no way because they’re way too be busy worrying about their own incompetence as coaches they just don’t have time to worry about no damn refs.

Coaches who are great like Pop or Kerr go off on refs all the time because their teams are actually well coached and know what to do, so they have no problem destroying some awful refs on their spare time watching the game :chuckle:

I had to go back to like page 10 to find this thread, I'm dragging it back up the list.

I was down pretty hard on Drew, ready to see him shitcanned.

But the Bulls game was surprisingly decent. Drew seems to be coaching up Sexton and he put the game in his hands with the final possession, good on Drew. He seems to have the veterans back in line, mentoring the younger guys. The team played... well, kind of like a team.

Maybe Drew won't be as absolutely horrible as I was anticipating? Can the wheels be put back on this cart? Develop the young'uns, compete a little bit, tank but don't be a complete embarrassment?
