I’m sorry, but this is damn stupid. The kid did his job and hit a home run. I don’t wanna hear shit about these “unwritten rules.” You play to win the game. Period.

I have a really strong feeling about baseball players who don’t like gloating.

Pansies, all of them. 95% of unwritten rules are lame as shit.

Baseball is, undoubtedly, the hardest pro sport to be really good at, and the successes should be celebrated in all possible ways.

Is that you #Baueroutage?

Listen, I don't know if you guys are aware, but La Russa is legit. He's a hall of famer, brother!

He was one of my favorite Indians for a reason, and he’s very much right.

If the MLB adopted the NFL’s outlook on fun, people would flock to that shit because of how cheap it is.

Problem is with La Russa being an old school coach... It's very likely he won't like the attitude of some of the younger guys. I'll be surprised to see Anderson not get fined at one point to be honest with him.

It goes far beyond one coach. There’s a reason Griffey is arguably a top five most beloved player in any American pro sport; visible fun.

Adopt that, and it saves the sport.

If a non-pitcher is pitching it is GAME ON... Isn't that part of the reason they put in the position guys, because of the added spectacle it creates?

Also, for a (non) pitcher - throwing sub 50 is an open invitation to crush it...

Yeah, nobody's surprised that Tony La Russa is wrong on another topic.

Players get paid based on their stats. That home run counts just as much as any other. To tell your own players they have to play worse and decrease their career earnings is dumb as shit.

I go both ways on this......If he crushes it before the 3-0 pitch it’s all good......I guess when you been the minor for a hundred years, I guess your not letting anything by.....lol

I love both SR and JR.... I also love this!

Yermin Mercedes gets thrown at by Tyler Duffy in the 7th inning. ChiSox leading 4-2.
Behind & low. Duffy & Mgr Rocco get tossed.

That was why LaRussa was ticked. WHAT IF the pitch made contact & injured Yermin or some other targeted ChiSox player. Easiest way to avoid a bean ball injury is to not provoke a bean ball at you/ at a teammate.

Easiest way to avoid being intentionally thrown at is for the person on the mound to not be an asshole and intentionally throw at you.

Duffy throwing at Yermin isn't Yermin's fault--it's Duffy's.

I'm sorry but if you don't like giving up runs then get good. So the Twins are mad because their pitchers aren't good enough to get the opponent out so I'll just throw at them then. Fk that. If you don't like the other team scoring then get better.

And that's bullshit for LaRussa to be mad at one of his guys for hitting a homer.
