Set his career high in steals in tongihts game with 4. While I'm not going to call him a good defender. He has been better then advertised. I also think he has had some bad luck on some of his misses going in and out. Long term I think he is going to be a nice 3rd big behind JA and Mobley.

Well here's one Finnish fan saying OMG to this!! It actually took me few seconds at first because I thought it was charge foul but then I remembered the restricted area rule under the basket lol.

Welcome also fellow finn Mr. Magic to this forum and I agree with your first post! I also believe those 20pt games are coming to Lauri very soon. He just needs to find his rhytmn in the new team.

Overall the Cavs this year looks interesting and quite enjoyable to watch. Players are smart and you can really beginning to feel the chemistry between them. Especially Rubio and Mobley have been great and Allen has been outstanding!

The fact that he recognized where Jokic was in the restricted area was awesome and acted accordingly!!

If you can be unbiased, do you think Denver was crazy for giving MPJ that super max? He was a one and done, but an old one and done. He looked good last year for sure, almost 20 points, 44% from 3, length, athletic, over 7 boards a game. But when i watch his game, it says good, but not super max to me.

I dont know, maybe i just cant get used to the new NBA and paying players on potential, but i think MPJ got a bit over paid and there is a chance Denver regrets it. Or maybe i have watched the wrong games from him or just pay to much attention to Jokic because i love Jokic?

Where is that Markkanen fan from Finland? Please tell me he got to see Lauri posterize the MVP. Thats a big fucking welcome to the Cavs board for ya.

There's few of us here. I got up to see the game before going to work. It was a nice wake-up call. In his first two seasons he had lot of good dunks and almost never missed one, when attempted. Injuries and bulking up made him MUCH less dynamic last two seasons. Let's hope he works his way back to same agility and precision, and improves from there, bc I loved all them dunks off the drives. Slam it down whenever the opportunity presents itself. I also hope he improves his footwork in static situations so he could slam over smaller guys in the post.

Well he's a horrible matchup for MPJ. He just can't shoot over him like the smaller guys. And MPJ isn't fast enough to shake him 1on1.

Still huge kudos to Lauri. He's clearly giving a lot of effort to play good SF minutes. He actually played good defense, like what. Huge if he can keep it up.

Playing some posessions as SF and then as C is quite something in this league.

I never understood what the word posterized means.

Slamming isnt everything. His defensive footwork has been better than advertised, if Lauri is going to grow at all, its developing a back to the basket game. He he stays playing the 3, he will often be guarded by way shorter players and i would love to see him punish them down low some for that.

All in all, he has played the 3 much better defensively than i thought he could and I already knew his offense was there and it will continue to grow as he gets more comfortable.

Out of our starters, I expected Mobley and Lauri to take the longest to come around. Mobley because he is a rookie, but Lauri is playing a position he is not used to with a new team and coach. He will get comfortable as time goes on and once he does watch out.

Like when you have a poster of a guy with cum all over his face, its when a shot is so good (like a dunk) it will become a poster on some kids walls.

I could be wrong, but I believe posterized is an old, old wooden ship that was used during the Civil War Era.
