LeBron James Jr.

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
Lay up line dunks?
He doesnt pop out athletically at all as far as finishing in traffic, in game...and his first step is mediocre right now.
Just not close.
He is pretty athletic for a 6'2 freshman. Once he hits a growth spurt, it's over.

Today I learned that Savannah would throw down dunks in st. V lay-up lines back when she was 15 years old.

He will be lucky to be a rotation player in the NBA. Obviously.
He just doesn't have his dads athleticism. Big difference between being a good leaper in practice than in live action. He is right now more of a shooter than a slasher/high level athlete as a potential d1 prospect.

There has been exactly one athlete like LeBron James who had his physical gifts at that age, and that is LeBron James. It is patently ridiculous to insinuate that Bronny would have to be the same caliber of athlete as LeBron in order to become an impactful star level NBA player.

He is 15 years old and while he in all likelihood will not become the type of athlete LBJ is, none of us know shit about how he is going to develop and how he will compensate for not being the greatest physical specimen of 21st century.

He’s not getting much burn on his current team right?

LeBron went from 6’3” to 6’6” freshman to sophomore year. Let’s give Bronny some time before we determine his NBA future at the age of 15. His athleticism from last year to this year already seems to have taken a big jump.

We’re making assumptions about this kid’s NBA career 4 games into his HIGH SCHOOL season? So much can happen.

He looks crazy athletic out there at this point.

I can tell he is already way ahead in his basketball IQ and a lot of the intangible things that will bode well for him down the line. Things will get more interesting once he is the face of a team and asked to do more. He will have to learn how to balance attacking and distributing. He has a great form with his jumper and his handles are coming along. I think he will start to dominate as an upperclassman, especially if he does grow a lot. But it seems he has already been making bigger leaps faster than I thought.

If he has any of his dad's brains, he could still easily make it. Having a dad in the league greatly increases your odds because it takes the guesswork out of who you need to talk to and what you need to work on. Lebron with low athleticism would still make the NBA due to size and smarts.

I swear, I don't see the gap in his athleticism compared to his dad. If anything, he has a more well-rounded game at the same age.

I had to check back on this thread now that things are heating up a little more.

Honestly I think it’s still very hard to predict his potential but it is all there. Next year he will actually get to be the leader of the team. He really just needs to start being more aggressive and not worry about mistakes.

I think the pressure of the spotlight and playing against and with top talent is very valuable experience. To maximize his growth though I think it is time for him to be the go to scorer on a team.

He has the tools. It’s just a matter of the rest of the development. And everyone is different when it comes to that. Some guys don’t really explode until senior year or college. Or even a couple years into the NBA.

It’s honestly too bad he isn’t like 6’6 because with his athleticism he would be a monster.

So I’m not up to date on the new rules! Can he be drafted after his senior year in HS or does he have to spend one year in college?

As far as I still know it’s still a year of college. But maybe they will change the rules in a year I haven’t heard anything about it.

I was curious about his height and I found this on Wikipedia:

"James stands 6 feet 3 inches (1.91 m) and can play the point guard and shooting guard positions.[39] He has a "smooth shooting stroke" and is an adept ball handler and passer.[40][41] Scouts have additionally commended his "feel for the game" and poise on the basketball court.[19][39]"

6 3 at 17? He's a year younger than I was at that height and I ended up at 6 4. I predict he'll be at least 6 5 when he's done growing, possibly 6 6 or 6 7. His dad was listed at 6 7 in his rookie year, and he grew an inch or two since then.
