LeBron James Jr.

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
We couldn't afford to send out 50 million to obtain LeBron.

Lakers will acquire the 1st pick…

LeBron would just force a trade wherever he wants to go. That's kinda his thing. I do think he has to play with his kid before he hangs up the high tops. The Ken Griffey Jr. & Sr. experience was awesome and so incredibly rare.
1. No team is going to take Bronny thinking LBJ will then just instantly follow him there.
2. No team will take Bronny to spite the Lakers. Teams have better things to do with 2nd rounders, like take 4-5 together for deadline trades.
3. I bet Rich Paul makes it very clear to teams who Bronny will play for and who he won't. And that list is likely 1 team long.
4. I see no reason for any team, other than the Lakers, to take Bronny. He is not ready for the NBA. At all.

My honest opinion? LBJ may feel that after the heart issue, Bronny is likely never making it, so if they can use what leverage he has left to be able to get his boy onto the Lakers roster while LBJ still cares to play and get a chance to play with his kid, he is going to do it. And guess what? I think thats pretty cool in the grand scheme of things and I hope it works. LBJ sees what we do, that the Lakers aren't going anywhere anytime soon. LBJ is with the last team he wants to be with, he doesn't want to go anywhere else, let alone so Cleveland 3.0. I hope teams do the logical thing, let Bronny go undrafted so the Lakers can add him.

Ultimately true.

If it happens, one wonders if the Cavs have played it that way all along.

If it doesn't then we know.

I think the kid goes back to school.

Cleveland needs lebron, this was definitely in the Cavs plan. I think that’s what bronny and Bron are betting on. It’ll be an incredible story for lebron to finish his career degree he started and make the Cavs relevant again with legit chances to win it all. You can even spare 2-3 minutes a night for bronny if lebron insist.

I don't think the Cavs want LeBron any more than they want Kyrie to return.

If we really want to play the tinfoil game, Duquesne is one of the obvious choices if Bronny stays in school for a number of reasons. A direct flight from Cleveland to Pittsburgh also happens for be 26 minutes, giving someone plenty of time to catch a game on an off night…

Of course the only way the Cavs should ever take LeBron back is on a MLE or less type deal, but he’s not taking that kind of deal unless his son is on the team.

How's this scenario?
1. Draft Bronny
2. Trade Garland for LBJ. (Garland is a max player, and we then don't have 2 small guards.)
3. Mitchell is impressed and re-signs.
5. Win another championship. Good for The Land - Good for the NBA.

My guess is this is just part of a overall plan to keep his options open. He can take his name out of the draft and transfer somewhere. With NIL in play, he will get offers. I'm sure they want to hear from teams on what development plans they would have for him if he were to get drafted.

I think he most likely transfers to somewhere where they think he has the best coach to help him develop. If they don't find that, they most likely will hear NBA teams out and want him to go to a team with a G-league coach that he been good at developing players.

Why wouldn’t a team that’s a lebron away from winning draft him?

WTF are you talking about. Lebron has never forced a trade in his entire career and he has been playing for 21 years.

I don’t know why people keep talking about trades. Lebron has a player option next year so he can go wherever he wants. The deadline to pick up the option is two days after the draft is over.
