Let it all out. The Cavaliers Rant Thread

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
Can’t wait for the deadline where we trade for a few new players who play really well the first week then end up being unplayable scrubs.

JBB says a lot of random things in his pressers that are ultimately just fluff, has no idea what he’s doing on offense.

Kevin Love is an incredible waste of $30mil a season.

All our draft picks have major flaws to their games, we desperately need to be given a superstar by the NBA or we will continue being a bottom 5 team.

OKC are openly trying to tank in a much harder conference and are a lot better than us.

Cedi Osman. Need I say more?
Various issues. I doubt anyone wants Love that much now. Cedi is just a role player nothing more.

I refuse to look at it as a total failure. I prefer to look at a fixer-up house and see what can be salvaged rather than just saying tear it all down and start over. Here I think we have some pieces in Sexton, Garland, Allen and Windler who although they won't fit together as starters on a winning team can all be useful players on a winning team. Draft one of Cunningham, Suggs, Green or Mobley, somehow add a pure shooter like Gallinari or Harris or Norman Powell (type). Use Nance and Okoro as energy defenders off the bench and build from there. No need for complete about face IMO.

SGA absolutely 100% was not going to play in Cleveland.

Yeah because he was just dying to play in Oklahoma City right? How come he's not boycotting or sitting out of games for the Thunder in a much worst city? You guys just say that to make yourselves sleep better at night knowing the Cavs screwed up. Had he been drafted here SGA would have eventually accepted his reality and came to grips with playing for the Cavaliers just like he is right now for the Thunder.

Well the difference is he signed the contract with the Clippers before he was traded, if we drafted him he could have sat out a year and entered the draft the next year.

if the Thunder had drafted him could have been a different story

The SGA would never have played in Cleveland shit died the moment he was traded to OKC and kept on playing.

It was a bluff. And the Cavs folded.
Yes. You are a insider. Shut up.

He was basically forced to play for OKC, he signed his rookie contract with the Clippers. If we drafted him he could have stayed another year in college. I don’t think that would have happened but him playing for OKC isn’t proof he wouldn’t have played for us

He wouldn’t sign his rookie deal with Cleveland?

what recourse did he have?

Not saying he wouldn’t have signed with us, but he would have had the option to spend another year in college and rejoin the draft in 2019. He didn’t sign his rookie contract with the thunder but with the Clippers, so there’s no just because he’s playing for the Thunder doesn’t mean he would have played with us

If we drafted him, he wouldn't have had the option to go back to college. A underclassmen player must declare and then has a number of days after the combine to renounce the declaration to go back to college. By the time the day of the draft is here, there wouldv'e been no way for him to go back because he would have missed that date. He would have had to refuse to play or not sign here and go overseas.

You can’t return the college once you declare at that point right? You have made yourself draft eligible. You give up your amateur status by draft night time

I don't know about amateur status, but he could have simply sat out the year and re-entered the draft the following year.

Right. there’s no way he would’ve done that.

the Cavs fucked it up. Per the usual.
