Let it all out. The Cavaliers Rant Thread

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
Fire the coach and you’re still stuck with a bunch of soft turds who don’t mesh together. Wonder how long till we admit this rebuild was a bust.

If Mitchell doesn't sign an extension. I'm guessing new GM and HC will blow it up. Or at the very least try to get a team that fits better.

I hate the coach. Hate the GM. Hate the role players.

I want heads in baskets. Wanted Koby fired after he drafted Agjabi. Wanted JBB fired after he lost the play in games.

I will not watch another Cavs game where Bickerstaff is the HC. I’m out.
So you are not going watch game 7. And if they win the Boston series lol.

Mobley just ain't getting it done, let's face it. Soft as hell and can't snatch a rebound if a defender is within 3 ft of him. Has lady fingers.
The shooters we brought in can't sink one when it matters.
The rest of the East is getting better or intend to and we're falling behind. Next year Philly will add a good player, maybe Paul George or that caliber player, then they will be more of a force. The Knicks ain't worried about us now or into the future. Boston is boston i.e. pretty good. Pacers will get better with another season under the belt.
If DM don't resign not sure I care anymore. He can't do it all by himself and shouldn't have to. He'll probably go to Miami.
I'd trade Mobley for Markkanen straight up today. At least he can shoot and has more strength plus same height.
Garland seems to want out and nobody will miss him. If him and Mobley got any perceived real value maybe we can get some legit players with potential for them or picks.
Just ranting, that's all.

Working fun theory (not real, just go with it):
The script was 7 games. Once you realize that you'll realize that's why the Cavs threw games 3 and 4, they didn't want to try to make it look good knowing it would he futile so they protested being a young team. Garland knew it was his time to stink it up in the 4th and close it out at home. Now the only question is why did Mitchell play so hard. He was trying to break the matrix with his own will, knowing it was an uphill battle. He knew game 7 was unscripted like all game 7s with an undetermined outcome so he went for the win. Only explanation.

Hard to believe DM scored the last 22 points. I didn't even realize it. But it seems Mobley had relatively easy attempts at the rim but was too weak / soft to finish, attempts that Allen would easily have converted. In fact, the loss of Allen is a major blow to the Cavs. I also think they need to play Thompson more. They need his force to counteract the younger Wagner who is an absolute brute, a Karl Malone clone without Malone's offensive skills.

And Garland, he needs to stop trying to force it inside to Mobley because he can't handle the force and aggression of Orlando and it's causing Garland to turn it over. Those turnovers have been crucial and one of them swung the momentum to Orlando which carried over to their win.

I also think they need to put more pressure on the younger Wagner, who to me, is more important to their team than Banchero, who basically only creates for himself, while Wagner sets up everyone else and also scores. Kind of like what other teams are doing to Mitchell, showing a double team. They need Merrill's shooting and in his spot minutes he could be the show defender against Wagner -- he does have good hands on D, I've noticed.

To be honest, though, with Mitchell playing hurt and no Allen, I think the Cavs should be the underdogs in this game, even though they are at home. The force of the Magic simply wore them down with their pressure the last game and that was why everyone but Mitchell, who was totally exhausted, crumbled at the end of the game.

Rant of the day! 66pts in the paint and 10 free throws. Wagner had 11 by himself.

His talent evaluation wasn’t off but his evaluation on how to provide a developmental environment was/is…

Koby has a good eye for talent but he’s failed the talent he’s picked out but not putting them in the best environment for success, and that ultimately may be his downfall..

Picking the talent is only part of the equation, developing the talent is just as much as the first part..

Garland and Mobley have the talent but they also haven’t been put on a pathway for success..

Garland and Mobley have been in the nba for 3-5 years now. They have physical gifts but appear lacking in some of the mental makeup to be superstars. That mental makeup is part of talent. Kobys job is to spot and develop talent and make decisions on that basis and his assessment of Garland and Mobley appears off so far.
