If the gay rumors are false and Manti was just doing this for publicity or some other stupid reason, people are going to find out. His best course of action if people start piecing his role in the hoax together might just be to pretend that he's gay, and announce that he did this out of the pressure of being a gay Mormon at a Catholic school.

Wouldn't that be nuts? He'd still be looked down upon for fabricating the story, but the masses might view it as a sad story of a confused young man trying to suppress his sexuality to fit in...

Nev already reached out to him (via twitter). Said he wanted to talk about it, with him.
Guarantee there's a Catfish Special with this. Nev just reached the ultimate status. If I'm Manti, I'm talking to Nev before Oprah, or anyone else. Going the Catfish route will make him more "human" to the age demographic. At least, that's my thought process on how I'd handle it.
