Might be as simple as Benedict Cumberbatch since he and Bettany never had any scenes together
I don’t think so. Remember Elizabeth Olsen said there would be an appearance on par with Luke showing up. Pietro wouldn’t be on par with Luke, so I don’t think she meant him. Same with Dr. Strange. Besides, I doubt Bettany meant Cumberbatch because he said “his whole life”. Benedict is only 44 and Bettany is 49.

Good point. I say it's Hugh Jackman.

I mean that would be wild, but adding Jackman would make little narrative sense in the context of the story.

All signs are pointing to a distinguished older actor. Patrick Stewart is a good guess.

Want a guess completely out of left field? Well, what's further than left field because it makes no sense and has zero chance of being correct? Hugh Laurie.

For absolutely no other reason than the first two episodes of WandaVision, everything Bettany did screamed early Laurie to me. Movements, mannerisms, speech--it was spot on.

Plus, it'd work in the "my whole life" thing.

I think he lied about not working with them.

I still think it is Ian McKellan.

And barring that, some iteration of Magneto and Xavier.

Any comic book nerds want to explain Agatha Harkness from the most recent episode?

She was one of the witches from the Salem Witch Trials, and she actually trains Wanda. Later on, Mephisto reveals Wanda's twin sons to be fragments of his soul, and he resorbs them, which leads to Agatha wiping her memory to help her deal with the trauma. When Wanda regains these memories, she kills Agatha.

Unfortunately she never actually compared whatever is coming to Luke. She mentioned a surprise appearance in an interview and some clickbait site twisted it and compared it to the Luke-cameo themselves in their title fresh off the Mando season finale to drive additional clicks and false hype and it unsurprisingly spread like wildfire. So I would definitely temper expectations to some extent.

I am very curious though who Bettany was excited about working on "intense scenes" with.

Tbh, thought it was the worst episode by far.

I thought it was great considering how much heavy lifting it had to do plot wise. It really established all the pieces for the end of the season
Yeah, the speed really picked up, revealing Agatha and everything.

The Modern Family sitcom style was my least favorite so far. Loved The Office intro music.
