I have to say, probably the biggest laugh for me on this show was at the end of the "Agatha All Along" segment where she says, "And I killed Sparky too!" Tough to land a good dead dog joke, but goddamn Kathryn Hahn crushed that one.
Me too -- took it as a "...and your little dog, too" moment, nicely combined with the boots under car. Hahn is great in the role.

Phoenix and Apocalypse were the last two X-Men movies. Apocalypse was "meh" at best IMO and Phoenix was just bad. Disappointing after how good First Class and Days of Future Past were.
We differ a bit on Apocalyse...so it goes.
Just looked at another chronology (they vary wildly) and noticed the "New Mutants" 2020...that one slipped past me as far as viewing.

New Mutants, never saw it, it was in development hell forever and was apparently a trainwreck.

Regardless of our personal assessments, everything points to Ryan Reynolds being the only holdover from the merger.

The next time we see Prof. X, Magneto, Jean, Wolverine, Cyclops, etc, it will almost certainly be with new actors.

That's the vibe I got from a recent Feige interview when he was asked about a season 2. He said something along the lines of nothing is impossible but it would be more likely WandaVision characters would appears in other planned shows or new shows entirely rather than a true season 2.

Overall I really enjoyed the show. Loved seeing what was at it's core a Scarlet Witch origin story. I think there were some hopes of even larger repercussions on the MCU as a whole going into the show but I think they were able to accomplish quite a bit. Photon was introduced, seems like some version of Vision is back out in the world now in that all-white body, the seeds for the twins and the Young Avengers have started to be planted and of course we finally got to see the Scarlet Witch. I think this is possibly an Age of Ultron situation to some extent where some of these seeds being planted will be looked back on more fondly after they've fully panned out.

I also agree in that some of the letdowns I've seen are honestly just fan theories that spiraled out of control a bit. I was definitely guilty of over-theorizing what are in hindsight some pretty minimal lines.

Also we got to see Jimmy Woo's close up magic skills in action.
There were a few odd loose ends and strange bits of dialog writing (especially in the SWORD camp), but I am left so impressed by the boldness of WandaVision...they took some real chances and everybody won. I am pleasantly surprised at how many non-comic literate folks I knew really enjoyed it.

Maybe (Deadpool) Colossus?...not a main character, but could easily hop in the Ryan Reynolds side car and move over to the next set.

Yes, less than two weeks to Falcon and Winter Soldier
I will admit my surface apathy toward a shield wielding "Captain Falcon" (ok, Bucky is cool)...still guessing the Marvel folks will turn out a show I will really enjoy.

Are any on the planned phase 4 movies running into delays?

Re-watched Spider-Man: Homecoming tonight. They nailed the character. And how refreshing to see a Spider-Man movie where we don't see uncle Ben get killed. Take note, Batman. We don't need to see your parents die for the 1500th time. We know. They died. It was tragic.

It does get a little annoying when they have Tony Stark criticize Parker for making mistakes that put people at risk. Motherfucker, you made Ultron. And I'm sure people were put at risk due to your decisions in previous Iron Man movies. I just don't remember any of those and so can't conjure up any examples.

"I fucked up. Don't make the same mistakes I did" is a perfectly acceptable thing to say.

Yeah, and it is coming from the guy who thought it a great idea to put a child with no fighting experience into a battle.

Also, Stark was pushing the Sakovia Accords, but brought in a superpowered guy that wasn't registered. And didn't register Peter.

That makes him even more hypocritical.

Also, the twist that Vulture is Liz's dad is so fucking good. The scene with them in the car when he's driving them to prom is, I think, one of the best overall scenes in any Marvel movie.

I still think it's absolutely preposterous that Peter had never met or at least seen Liz's dad before, though.
