Fellow prospect, outfielder George Valera, has begun to ramp up his rehab from a right wrist injury. According to Harris, he is playing five to seven innings in the field, while increasing his hitting activities.

“As he gets ready to go without symptoms, he’ll be in (Triple-A) Columbus and hopefully be able to help us at some point,” Harris said of Cleveland’s third-ranked prospect.

Valera, 22, had a big year at Akron and Columbus last season, hitting a combined 24 homers with 82 RBIs over 132 games.

About time we got some Valera news. Was worried the next time we heard something it would be that he would need a wrist transplant or something.
