Williams getting a taste of what it feels like to pitch in Cleveland. 2 hits the whole outing (and game to this point), and losing 1-0.

So our young SP prospects at the moment are(in relative order)
1. Williams
2. Bibee(already in MLB)
3. Espino(out until next season)
4. Cantillo
5. Allen(already in MLB)
6. Hankins
7. Burns
8. Battenfield
9. Curry
10. Campbell
Seem about right to you guys? I'd keep an eye on Hankins and Burns this season. They could be quick movers.
What's crazy is that Bibee, Allen, Battenfield and Curry are already in Cleveland, and Williams is quickly making a case to be. Yet the rotation is about to go back to normal minus the recently demoted Plesac. Bieber, TMac, Quantrill, Civale and one of Bibee/Allen/Battenfield/Curry.
Anyone still think no SP are going to be moved by the deadline?
You can say Hankins has barely pitched, but it's circumstantial and it doesn't change the talent. You do realize that most development doesn't happen in games don't you? I'll be very surprised if he doesn't move quickly.I'd have Allen above Cantillo (mostly cause of injury issues). Hankins also is a bit high since he has barely pitched. Campbell should be the next in line for the college pitcher developed into a star in a sense, but we haven't seen him yet...
The concept is about right though, I would just have them in a different order personally...
Where does Gaddis fit? (I think he will be a reliever) What about Dion (can his smaller body hold up as a starter) and Messick?
We have a 1B in the system that has a preferable profile for me and he's in Columbus right now. He's not posting his typical numbers yet, but I'm sure he will and I love the all around game. That's the type of profile I like, a well rounded player. I'm tired of the one dimensional bullshit and the historically average player embedded in the lineup like a fucking tick.Well 5/11 recap
Columbus... 8-2 loss, Gaddis was going strong until the 5th when everything stayed up and everything left the yard! Valera got a hit and a walk in his minor league return... Rocchio and OGonz had nice nights with 3 hits a piece. OGonz got both RBIs for the day. Columbus had chances to score but didn't get guys in.
Akron... Another win 4-2 and everyone got a hit. Johnathan Rodriguez and Kokx got 3 hits a piece. Top of the lineup got the RBIs, Tena with 2, Martinez and Lava got one a piece. I like whatever got Akron's bats going this week! Nikhazy and Leftwich both went 4 innings giving up one run...
LC... won 6-5... They only had 4 hits, but drew 8 walks and Cairo got the big one with a 3 run HR. Valdes continues to hit, while Lampe is struggling of late. Lets see how he recovers.. Pitching was alright, the error by Frias didn't help them.
Lynchburg... Won 8-5, with a 5 run top of the 9th to get the lead! Everybody but Saduy got apart of the hit parade. Lipscomb got 3 hits, and Fascia got 2 (whose having a strong season so far, but he is the elder statesman down there). Once again they also ran and ran... Collado has to be slowly starting to get some notice. He's though not the profile someone like @CDAV45 would expect from 1B, but it's impossible to not believe he gets to LC this season if he keeps hitting and maybe a brief time at AA... Ellerts with the save btw... I haven't gotten to watch him pitch, but he's been lights out so far for Lynchburg from the pen... LC is likely in his future this season.

You can have Allen above Cantillo, but Cantillo is simply more talented. The order doesn't really concern me anyway.
I'm not sure how Gaddis fits in. He lacks control more than any other prospect I listed and he has a long way to get to where he needs to be with it IMO. I know little of Dion and Messick. I really start paying attention to SP prospects when they reach Akron. Obviously guys like Espino, Williams, Bibee and Allen catch your eye with their early success and rapid advancement.

Don’t forget Collado (& others) are R5 eligible after the season. Getting them up to AA this season might make it easier for the player to be selected by another clubDion will see AA time this season, while Messick is likely to finish at high A (maybe a cameo in AA depending on the minor league playoffs).
Keep an eye on Collado though as a prospect since all he has ever done is hit... I could see him getting to AA next year...

I'm anxious to see Dion pitch in AA. Hopefully he hits the ground running. Campbell is actually the next guy in line for me to monitor closely, but isn't he on the IL right now?Dion will see AA time this season, while Messick is likely to finish at high A (maybe a cameo in AA depending on the minor league playoffs).

When Collado reaches AA I'll keep a close eye on him.
