Minor League Game thread 6/12 through 6/19

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
He played the full game, too.. He should be pretty close to being ready.. The Clippers will slow play his entry back to full game action.. imho..

They have 11 position players at the moment not on the Injured list..

I wouldn't mind seeing what someone like J. Rodriguez can do at AAA...

Why???? what is it about a guy who fails or performs poorly at a level the first time he sees it.. followed by repeating that level where he performs at least adequately that is needed to be seen at AAA?.. Makes no sense..

Fringe prospects get second class treatment.. Top prospects get the opportunity to show what they can do..

I just want to see what Rodriguez can do at AAA since I want to see if he's just a depth piece or he can be more... He's been playing well at AA... That's all

Johnathan Rodriguez is also a minors FA after this season, so he's like Oscar Gonzalez 2021. He needs rostered or he can sign with anyone.

As a RH power OF bat it makes a lot of sense to give him a run in AAA to see if his recent hot bat plays there.

There is going to be a shuffle once Naylor gets moved up... Let's see how everything goes...

Columbus...

Out - Naylor, Norris and Herrin

In - C Seth Caddell, OF Valera and RHP Bilous...

Outside of Williams, Cantillo, Rocchio and Brito there aren't many prospects that are impressing. Cupboards are looking a little bare after all the promotions. Hopefully Valera can hit the ground running, but I'm not sold on him yet. I don't care about having a "top 5" farm system. My concern is having one that can keep the Guardians supplied with talent.

A couple of deadline deals could restock the shelves.

Better yet use him in a trade.

If we can get a right handed power bat with team control, It would make sense to move him... Though for anything else, I'd rather just keep him...

It's more of the question, who is out of contention right now we could trade him too? Or do we pair him with Bieber, get the bat plus a young MLB ready arm back?

Either way is fine with me.
