Ok, its time for another week of games to begin. The CLE affiliates had a solid Week 16 going 12-12 with a run diff of +6. Let's see if they can have another over .500 week. Onto the Week 17 games:

AAA: Columbus (44-50) visits Memphis (45-51, St. Louis affiliate)
AA: Akron (59-36) visits Somerset (56-39, NY Yankees affiliate)
High A: Lake County (52-44) hosts Great Lakes (51-45, LA Dodgers affiliate)
Low A: Lynchburg (47-49) visits Kannapolis (27-69, ChiSox affiliate) <-- Tied for worst record among all full season minor league teams

That is until the replacements/ reinforcements were named....

Clippers down 8-1 after 1.... They only gave up 4 hits though...

If you want to see something that under normal circumstances would be extremely concerning, look at the current #'s for all the AAA pitchers. Wowzers. The reason it gets a pass, is most of them are roster fillers and lower prospects. Morris and Perez are about it, and guys like L.Allen, Nelson, Mejia, Broom and Hill are having miserable seasons.

It's all about Morris (starter who hits the upper 90's), Perez (lefty reliever we desperately need), and Oscar (corner OF bat we desperately need). Alos, Jones, Palacios, and Arias. The rest of the roster doesn't matter.

That Akron/Somerset series looks like it's worth the price of admission based on the records of both teams.

I had found it curious that Robert Broom was starting for CBus on Tuesday night.. Logan S Allen was due for another start.
The IL placement of TMac & resulting call up of Logan S Allen completes that picture of understanding..
