Minor League Week 9 Games Thread

Lynchburg is underway. Trailing 4-1 in the bottom of the 4th - but threatening with runners on the corners with 2 out.

Daniel Espino a bit unlucky today so far: 4IP 4H 4R/4ER 1BB 9K!! 1HR - 1WP 63 pitches and 40Ks.

It looks like Petey Halpin is now on the Lynchburg roster?!?!!! Nice!

Noel is now on the 7 day IL - Pries is still out of action.

Gabriel Rodriguez has hit his 1st homer of the year - a solo shot.

Espino might get another inning, but despite the 4 earned runs another DOMINANT performance, 2nd in a row.

Though Naylor isn't playing all that well this season... His defense though hasn't been too bad overall... He had a better June that May, so I think he will finish the season on a good note.
 
Naylor is clearly overmatched by AA pitching. I would be to embarrassed if I was him to accept an all star appearance with his hideous numbers
 
Weds Gm updates:

AAA Columbus trails 3-1 in the top of the 4th at Toledo.

AA Akron leads 1-0 in the top of the 5th thanks to a Franmil solo blast

High A Lake County is still in a weather delay.

Low A Lynchburg rallied late but it wasn't enough, losing 8-6 in gm 1 of its doubleheader..
Gm 2 scheduled to start in a little bit..
 
Youngin' 2019 Rd 3 pick Petey Halpin playing his 1st professional game of his career and batting lead off in game 2 for Lynchburg and playing CF. Miguel Jerez is making his 2021 season debut batting 7th and playing 1st as well

High A Lake County has been postponed. Game will be made up as part of a double header on 7/3/21.

Low A Lynchburg trails 3-0 in the 6th of gm 2....

On the night CLE affiliates go 1-3 with a run diff of -6
On the week the affiliates are 1-6 with a run diff of -26...

Other notes:
Per source: Test for #Indians Tyler Freeman showed no tear in shoulder, just a lot of inflammation. Freeman was given a Cortisone shot and is expected to miss another 1-2 weeks.

Roster Movement:
#Indians 19yr old (1B/3B) prospect Jhonkensy Noel has left (Low A) Lynchburg & sent to Goodyear, Arizona to rehab his ankle injury. No timetable has been set for his return.
