MLB 2023 Post Season: Someone has to win it..

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
Who had Rangers and Arizona in the World Series at the beginning of the season?

Looks like an 84 win team is going to the world series.

We could absolutely have been that team.
About 10 other teams could say this too. The Gs aren't special.

Gotta say, I find the Philadelphia fanbase to be in my top 5 of loathed fanbases, so I can't say I feel bad.

Well, we didn't win 84 games.
Not special.

I know of one guy who had Rangers win @ +5000 with a paid $ 400.00 ticket.. with the date..

He stands to win a bundle.. He made the wager because he's a HUGE Bochy fan.. ginormous...

and, no, it was not me.. He posted the ticket for all to see...

Wife is a Philly sports fan. Went for my annual physical and my PCP asked me if I feel safe at home. I said yes unless the Cowboys beat the Eagles.

Congrats to Arizona, who weren't projected to play with the big boys and are by most measures a legit underdog story... They also managed to make it the series with Carlos Vargas clogging up their 40 man roster for the whole season. He could very well end up on the move one way or another this off-season IMO.

The Rangers are in the driver seat here, but it might be pretty close to coinflip at this point.

How many had it at the beginning of the postseason even?

Baseball is wild. Indians had their chances and blew it in dramatic fashion on the cusp, I hope the Guards cash in on their next chance.

Im sure MLB hates this. :chuckle::chuckle::chuckle: No LA or NY teams.

Both AZ and Texas are big markets, I think they are just fine with it. It's when the World Series is Rust Belt teams that MLB freaks out.

Who had Austin Hedges batting with the game on the line in the 9th?

Maybe the highest leverage AB of the entire season, and Hedges of all people is the one at the plate?
