MLB 2024 Draft

Do Not Sell My Personal Information

Obviously several years out from the draft but this could be a gamechanger for the entire drafting process. I wonder if other top Japanese prospects begin to follow him to US colleges.

Now... only months out.. a D1 Baseball site list of college draft ready prospects.. the top half dozen or so.. are all very good to exceptional.. with two or three being considered franchise changing..

Sincerely I couldn't blame the top Japanese players for going to US colleges since it would get them to the bigs in the US a lot easier... Though that being stated, I think Japan pays the guys better at the level lowers. So it could bite them in the end if they don't make it to the bigs...

@Gson who are the guys you really want that are in that top 10-20 range on that list @Tondo I would love if you chimed in on this one as well...

Posted on October 2nd or 3rd... per MLB Draft Mock 2024:

Tommy White (my favorite, at present) # 7
Cade Arrambide (perhaps the best C in this draft.. and, possibly, in the last three drafts) # 20
Michael Mullinax (not related to the car dealership people).. # 13

Any one of these three would be good.. emphasis on White and Mullinax..

Right now.. I have 31 guys on my list of possible Guardian first picks.. they include 11 Outfielders, 8 Pitchers, 6 Shortstops, 3 Catchers 2 Third Basemen and 1 second basemen; The age/class make up is.. 15 prepsters, 16 college kids. The top five or six guys in this draft will probably be dominated by two way players who will have to choose which path they're going on (position player or pitcher).. there is no franchise changing/must have talent in this draft.. but, it's still pretty deep.. We'll see..

this was the posting from Sunday (3:22 pm).. before the start of the continuation of the Browns slow death spiral....

I’m not a massive draft guy, but JJ Wetherholt puts in another year like last year and he seems like their ideal org fit. Nick Kurtz, too, if he keeps showing good plate discipline.
