MLB 2024 Draft

Do Not Sell My Personal Information

I personally feel like pick 1-1 is Condon/Bazzana...

Pick 36, is a college bat that falls...

Rounds, 2-4 all college arms...

That's how I want things to be!
As a point of reference, Cleveland took 3 college arms in rounds 2-4 in 2021 (the year of 19 pitchers), 2 in 2nd round and 1 in 4th round, and all 3 (Nikhazy, Mace, Webb) are at AA 3 years later. I think all 3 still have a chance, but none of the 3 are listed in our top 30 prospects by MLB. Fortunately, Cleveland also drafted Williams in Rd 1 and Bibbee in Rd 5. Several others from the draft remain interesting prospects with Dion and Aleman listed in the top 30 prospects.

Nikhazy and Mace have been in and out of our top 30 prospects to be honest...

They are all rule 5 eligible this offseason so we will be deciding on them this season...

The rule 5 decisions this year will be very interesting. In addition to the 2021 pitchers being eligible, you have to think guys like Enright and Torres, who were eligible in the past, are gone (Enright for the 2nd time) if they are not protected this year. I keep hoping for a trade to turn 5 good prospects into 1 great prospect.

I wouldn't be surprised IF we swap a few of those 21 draftees for one MLB/MLB ready guy...

KFlash/Naylor has been banned 3 Months for trying to circumvent his month-long ban as KFlash.

In the future we expect proper decorum from him.
Yeah, came across as the same guy. 2nd try he TRIED to tone it down a bit, but his venom and issues filtered thru. Guy is obviously a baseball fan, but dude has some issues. Thanks.

Yeah, I don't understand why some folks can't be generally nice.

Being antagonistic ensures no one changes their mind in a debate.

But, I note that being a grumpy pants, and demeaning everyone, has become part and parcel for many online communities.

People are being conditioned into grumpy pants.

Meatball pitch, but a nice, quick swing. His body reminds me of Richie Sexson, who also hit the ball a long way.
Everything still seems so long to my amateur mind. I want to love him for what he represents but I see mlb heaters eating him up and getting him way out in front on offspeed pitches.

On the optimistic side I still see a young McGuire in the swing so what do I know.

I tell you what would probably be real funny is seeing Condon's numbers against the much weaker pitching in the Big 12.

Do you have any references to support what you posted earlier because I find a lot of it to be questionable. From the information I gathered, Condon has a strong arm and is an above average runner which allows him to play all 3 OF positions effectively. No, he isn't a ML CFer so don't take it there. He is also 6'6" and 215lbs. He can add 20lbs of good weight and still be as agile while being that much stronger. Bazzana looks like he hits the gym hard and has little room to fill. He already runs like a weight lifter IMO.

I don't know who they're going to take, but to downplay Condon seems ridiculous to me. It certainly has no statistical basis to support the idea that he is less of a player than Bazzana. Unless you want to take a small sample and run with it while ignoring other samples.
