Nor does it make them Muslim

While agreed, but muslim doesnt mean terrorist either. The terrorist faction is a small percentage of the faith, but talk to an average american and they think its the majority of muslims.

I don't believe that to be true. However, I do think it is probably true that a majority of Americans tend to view muslims in general with suspicion because they don't know which ones are a threat, and which ones aren't, even though they know the majority are not.

Just my opinion, though.

White people are far more likely to commit acts of terrorism in this country than muslims. Viewing muslims with suspicion of terrorism is as racist as thinking a black guy in a parking lot is going to steal your car.

Man, the crazies are coming out in full force right now.

I know i get to sit on my high horse but the US tollerance of people without tollerance to others seems too high. Freedom of speech is one thing, but i think there needs to be a policy change to keep closer track on these people, like the sikh shooter, who happen to own automatic weapons.

I don't get how a nation born from people trying to avoid persecution can create citizens so determined to attack others that they would risk their own life to kill others

Luckily no one was hurt in this blaze.

I am amazed at how both attacks, the one in Wisconsin and this one have recieved very little publicity compared to Colorado. I shouldn't be man I am...

Let's be real...news media generally targets white Americans who spend money. As a collective conscience, white Americans as a general rule aren't expected to sympathize or relate to anyone other than other white Americans. Doesn't mean they WON'T or CAN'T relate to Muslims/Hindus/Blacks/Hispanics/etc.

But you're generally going to find that stories that become transcendent top tier news stories involve (usually attractive or desirable) white people being victimized- often by other white people. Think Lacey and Scott Peterson, Natalee Holloway, Jon Benet Ramsey, Casey Anthony, Columbine, OJ Simpson, other school shootings...and now the Batman premiere shooter. Crimes committed against non-whites, especially if they're committed by non-whites...just will not get media play.

Trayvon was an interesting exception and I firmly believe that it vaulted itself to the level it did, because it was being presented over and over initially as a white on black crime- because of Zimmerman's last name.

Sad but 100% true. Not sure how I feel about this serious Jigo though.

I read this as "Mosque Raped in Missouri".

Regardless, very tragic.
