Multi- room Audio Recs Needed

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
We made our unit "Smart" about two months ago. It was a monumental pain in the ass. The hope is that we can take it with us when we buy a house.

We used Google Nest because we liked "Jot" which is a rechargable speaker. I didn't want all the outlets taken up with individual speakers.

*Definitely find out if your television has bluetooth. If you bought it in the past three years, it probably will. If so, your TV is ready to play through the speakers.

Good luck, it's really going to suck!

Yeah this 100% appears to be the solution.

What am I doing for vinyl speakers then?

And don’t you fucking dare give me the whole “vinyl is better than digital” shaming (again).
Alright, well you have to start out by figuring out why you have vinyl to begin with.

And I didn't say vinyl is better than digital... you're the one with vinyl, not me!

For most people, they'd answer that by saying they enjoy the sound of vinyl. That means, the analog medium produces certain qualities they enjoy.

They would have a setup where they don't translate that sound into digital... or if they did, they'd keep it as high fidelity as possible. Bluetooth is antithetical to that, as it's not a very high quality means of transmission.

So, turntable connected to analog speakers? Awesome. That's the way most vinyl enthusiasts would do it (assuming we're not talking about turntable to headphones).

Just guessing, it sounds like you should plug the turntable into a Sonos amp as a source. Done. Shoot that shit anywhere throughout the house. One step, still high quality. Wifi's better than bluetooth.

So.... much.... sauce....

Nice, it should be easy. I found out our largest TV, an LG, didn't have a convenient app for Google Home. Our cheap Vizio's in bedrooms hooked up immediately.

This led to a long afternoon of suffering until I finally got the television and Google to communicate.

Whole thing was a headache.

If you don't need bluetooth consistently, +1 for Sonos. you can also get the soundbar or analog and then it's easy to connect TV audio or computer audio and it will go to any sonos speakers on the network. The sound is really good and the connectivity is amazing. I have no other recommendations because it's the only system I use.
