Myles Garrett : NFL 2023 DPOY

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
As usual people assume the worst possible outcome. Never change, Browns fans.
I don't think anyone is assuming anything, unless you're reading things I am not.

There are a plethora of possible outcomes. It's pretty normal to be aware and concerned about the entire gamut until we hear more details.

Hopefully he sits Sunday

I’m pretty comfortable ruling out inebriation. He was on his way home having just left the practice facility.

Unless he started pounding booze as soon as he sat down in his car, I highly doubt he was drunk.

I know, I’m just speaking to how much of a piece of garbage I was as a youngin.

Don't rule out soft tissue or ligament damage. He wouldn't be held overnight for that.

When I drove drunk off the road many years back an animal was my excuse too — specifically a dear in a forested area.

He wasnt drunk, it was shortly after practice, animal makes sense combine with going to fast. He was going 60 in a 35.

Every NFL play ends in a car wreck. Just another day for supermen.
Marcellus Wiley always says every week is like getting in a car accident and it’s why he hated playing football.

I drive very slowly when getting road head.

I'm a defense attorney who deals with personal injury claims every day. Even the lightest MVAs can cause issues in the back and neck. An accident that involves an overturned vehicle (multiple times)? I'm prepared for the worst. For an athlete as explosive as Myles is, I'm concerned about lingering issues in his back and neck. This could be the start of degenerative changes which could plague him for the rest of his career. I would almost be relieved if it was as simple as a broken bone which will heals with no future issues.

The news about his actual injuries can't come soon enough.

Right. And a soft tissue injury to connective tissue usually takes longer to heal fully than a simple broken bone.

Sounds like Myles needs to talk to as many massage therapists as he can possibly get ahold of for this one.
