Myles Garrett : NFL 2023 DPOY

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
In the unlikely event that the nfl lessens the suspension, it would be after the 2nd steelers-browns match... If they do it before then that game might have another skirmishes, that is also probably the reason for the initial lenght of suspension
The reason for the initial indefinite suspension that is at a minimum 6 games was so that Myles wouldn’t play 2 games later?

Just sit him for the next 3-4 games man shit. Sit Pouncey for the next 2. Keep Ogunjobi at 1. Fine Rudolph.

Yep. Once people saw the entire thing, almost everyone I have talked to thinks the QB was the asshole. Still waiting for his apology for starting the entire thing. He won't because he is a low character douche bag though.

Also, I found definitive proof that getting hit with a football helmet won't kill you

Theory: Myles had a moment like this planned all night for his final play on the field against the Steelers in a big time win. Not necessarily the helmet swing, but an unforgettable cheap shot on the QB that was going to go even farther that the original cheapshot hit.

I think he figured that the play he originally had planned would have been something like a late hit and grinding Rudolph’s face into the ground followed by some potential shoving with some guys which would have resulted in a game or two out. This would have been a net positive for his career as the play would have gone down in the Browns highlight reel much like the Turkey Jones play.

In reality, life came at him fast and resulted in much more than he was anticipating and he flipped his shit out of shock and anger that it didn’t go how he expected or planned and he felt like a bitch.

Long term, this is still a net positive for him from a Browns fan standpoint bc he’s the guy that stood up to the Steelers and hell...he’s a Hall of Famer if he keeps it up. But it certainly hurts the season.

Probably in his best interest that the Browns stopped him from giving the interview. I think there is so little chance a interview would go well.

I'm curious if Browns stopped him or if NFL stepped in.

Being indefinitely suspended may have come with other things like not talking to media

It says the Browns stopped him. My guess is they just didn't see anything productive happening from giving an interview. It could just piss off the NFL if he says the wrong things and mess with his appeal.

The NFL doesn't like guys airing their dirty laundry. If he brought up the stuff Rudolph did or something with race came up, it could have gotten ugly. If he wants to tell his side of the story, tell the league first and wait for the appeal. He can leak stuff to the media with the Browns help if they think he is being unfairly treated.

I don't think any of this has to do with race. I think it's extremely unlikely anything like that was said.

But if Rudolph said anything race related dude deserved it.

As a white guy I'm saying that.

We have no clue what was said and I think the NFL would rather keep it that way. Alot of things that the NFL doesn't want to debate could have come up, race was just an example. Garrett being a edge rusher vs Rudolph being a QB could be brought up in how they were punished. I don't think the league wants a whole debate about how much they protect and overlook things QBs do.

It's just all stuff that would divide people and cause more coverage of this bad incident. With the Kaep stuff back in the news, the NFL doesn't need a player giving interviews when there is any sort of chance they feel like they are being unfairly treat, no matter what the underlying reason is.

Interesting that The Browns told him not to do the interview when per the rules of his suspension he's not even allowed to be with or have contact with the team.
