NBA FINALS 2023: Miami Heat vs Denver Nuggets

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
Second timeout to Denver, up 27-20. Jokic hasn't taken a shot but he has 5 assists.

Denver's shooting 63%. Miami, you're not playing the Knicks or Celtics anymore.

Zeller it is! Duncan and Lowry in as well.

Zeller fumbled that away at the end. Far better rim protector than Love, but not a better ball handler and passer by any means.

Strus was absolutely horrid. Miami can't get Herro back soon enough for this series.

Denver timeout after Porter gets biffed in the face by Bam.

Up 8. Jokic out. Jeff Green 1-2

This will be a tough series for Spo to find a PF to complement Bam, or a backup to Bam. Zeller yanked quick after his turnover. Highsmith looking solid so far. Bam is great tonight, but he will wear down if he has to play constantly.

Miami hanging in. As I expected, Miami is having trouble against Denver's offense. But Denver's defense is really struggling against Miami's offense. They are getting burned a lot backdoor.

Seeing some great basketball by both teams.

I love Jokic’s passing skills. His vision and intelligence is amazing. He always impresses me in passing another way whether it’s a volleyball pass, full court pass, passing it cross court mid-air, etc.

Jokic bowls over even the likes of Zeller.

Strus is garbage. Would be a single digit game if he could hit the occasional wide open shot.

Denver in 4 and unfortunately MIA turns back into the pumpkin that barely made the playoffs. While it would be cool to see a competitive finals, Denver is pretty fucking good, seems deeper, bigger, has the true MVP and is loaded roster wise. Only thing that could shake Denver is nerves, but even then, I think worst case scenario Denver loses 2 at most.

I will say I'm happy for both Jimmy and Joker. Either one is deserving. Really glad it's not the Warriors, Lakers, Phoenix, Boston, or Philly. I don't really like MIA, only have extreme dislike for the Org poaching Lebron (so I'm leaning toward Denver as who I'm rooting for). Also, really fucking hate Love was right too, but ultimately our fault for JB/Koby not being able to handle the situation better.

This. Denver is just too fucking good.

Denver just has too much firepower.

Yep. That's why its hard to see thing being a long series, if we are being honest. Bad match up for the Heat.

And the fact the Heat are getting GREAT looks, and ice cold, this is not good.

My problem all along, Miami's defense would have no answers for this offense.

It's game one. I don't want to overreact, because Spo needs a chance to counter. But this offense is going to be hard for Miami.
