NBA FINALS 2023: Miami Heat vs Denver Nuggets

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
The Heat were very good at taking advantage of mistakes, bad rebounding efforts, flaky transition defense, one-on-five offense, rushed shots, etc. by their earlier opponents. Nuggets aren't making many of those errors.

Idk why you guys are so down on the heat. They’re missing wide open shots they have made more often than not these playoffs

They’re still getting WIDE open shots. I doubt they brick those the entire series

Will it be enough? Ehhhh. But watching the first half Miami got what they wanted they just built a house of bricks

Jokic only three shot attempts in the first half but ten assists. Very feel good story for Denver and the big man so far!

Mostly Strus. I mentioned Heat would be in single digits if he hit even a few of those.

Might want to give Love a look. No more Zeller, please. He stinks.

I think Spo gives him a look in the 3rd. Can't shoot any worse than Strus, can board just as well as Zeller and pass better, and no one can stop Jokic anyway, so why not?

Martin also missed a solid bit I’d expect him to hit

I guess if people are expecting the heat to continue to shoot 37% from the floor I understand being down on them. But they’re putting up a dog shit shooting night on really good looks. Not calling them dead yet

I don't think things were too bad for Miami. They are in a little hole, they just got make some shots. Getting good looks. Denver's defense, honestly, was not good. Miami missing the shots they made last series.

I got to think Love may get a look in the second. This is the series you'll need him. Miami is going to struggle defensively anyways, not suggesting you abandon that end. But they need guys that can shoot.

Great first half for Denver. They played practically perfect offense. They're not rusty. 4 players in double figures, led by Murray with 18.

Miami couldn't hit 3s, neither Strus nor Martin.

You have to understand that anytime there is an opportunity to extrapolate the first game or even one half of the first game in the playoffs to being representative for how the entire series will go, you have to take it.

Meanwhile in Boston:

Denver is getting killed on backdoor screens. Miami needs to keep attacking them with it.

Denver up 16. They're trading baskets in the 3rd.

Meanwhile in Boston:
Martin, yes. Strus, no. He wasn't even good in the Boston series.

Miami is really, really missing Herro.

Denver up by 19. Here's the stat of the game: 3 pointers: Miami
623 26.1
Denver
81942.1
