NBA Finals Game 1 | Cavs @ Warriors | June 4th | 9:00pm EST

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
It is an attempt at wordplay.

He is reffering to the famous "IT'S HAPPENING" viral image, which might have the extension .jpg.
Because we have a player on our team whose name is JR, he implemented said player's name into the filename of the aforementioned viral image. Therefore - .JPG = dot Jay R Pee Gee.

You should follow this kid around on the site and assist us. You'll be like a seeing eye dog.

Anyone else get pissed when ESPN runs the Finals promo and the last image of LeBron is him in Miami warmup gear with his devil beard....can't believe they put that in there, and yet another reason to hate ESPN.

Hawks had a huge regular season too. And so did the 66 win Cavs. Both teams ran into worst case scenario teams.

Playoffs are about matchups and I think the Cavs match up with them better than any team in the league.

Warriors in 4.
I don't disagree with any of those things. Like I said, I expect this series to be extremely competitive and there's a very good chance the Cavs pull out.

All I'm saying is that I think people are rating the Warriors so highly - and rightfully so - more so because of how dominant they've been this entire year on both ends as a team - not because they have two star guards. A team that's fully healthy and one that won 67 wins in the regular season IN THE WEST while going 12-3 in the postseason is much different than being a 60 win team in the East that's slightly banged up and has been looking very underwhelming since the first round of the playoffs. To put things in perspective, of the 13 teams who have won 65 games or more and advanced to the NBA Finals, all 13 have won the NBA Championship that year.

Just to be clear though, that doesn't mean I think the Cavs are going to lose or anything. I'm betting on Cavs in 6. I just think the Warriors are pretty appropriately rated in terms of how good they are as a team, based on how they've played this year. There's no need to downplay what the Warriors have accomplished this year and how good they are as a team. Instead, we should expect the Cavs to take it to another level and play EVEN BETTER than them in order to beat them.

Anyone else having like intense nervousness leading up to this series? Like sick to your stomach, shaking, heart-pounding when I think about it anxiety? Is it just me?

It's odd because when Love went down, I said to myself "If we can even make it to the Finals, that will be a huge victory. Just making it - even if we get pounded there.

But now that we're here... And I'm hoping and somewhat expecting us to win. And if we don't, I'll probably be heartbroken.

Probably unfair based on my previous expectations and the injuries that this team has faced.

I actually am cautiously optimistic, in part I think because I don't believe the mythic proportions this Warriors team is being built up to be.

That could all go out the window if we get blown out in game 1 though. :chuckle:

We win....I cry
We lose...I cry

Ive literally sat in silence a few times the last few days and I cant figure out how I would handle either situation.

In 07' I was young and naive. I felt like well he did it at 22, he will do it again at 23, 24, etc...which he did, but somewhere else. I didnt factor in that, roster overhaul, nor did I factor in the Super Team Era...thanks alot Boston.

Did anyone else know Curry was born in Akron? I had no idea.

Same hospital as LeBron, supposedly.

Dell should have been a Cavalier for life. God-damned expansion draft.

I really do think the Warriors are being overestimated because they have two incredible perimeter scorers.

I firmly believe that if you can find a way to shut down one of Curry or Klay, the Cavs have enough offensive firepower to beat them four times. Of anyone they've played, Cavs have the best shot of making it tough on them on the perimeter.

Not to mention, the Cavs actually have more guys who can shoot threes than the Warriors do AND the Cavs should be equally effective down low in the Moz/TT vs Bogut contest.

Warriors in 5.

Cavs playing defense at a very high level. A VERY high level. That counts for a lot. The Bulls and Hawks didn't just lose - they GAVE UP.

That said - I'm still crapping my pants. Never expected them to play so well so far in the playoffs. Nonetheless, there would still be some disappointment, if they didn't close the deal. Probably our best chance since the '07 Indians, who were a game from playing the vastly-inferior Rockies in the World Series...

Not just you. I have the same. The intensity just got cranked up a notch. The difference between breaking the curse and having it go on another year...

This long wait is killing me. Since we clinched, I have...

Bought my yorkie a Cavs Collar...(long overdue)
Bought the "Nothing is Given/I'm Coming Home" T shirt from GV Art...
Bought the "Swish City" T from Fresh Brewed Tees....
And just now got back from the Team Shop where I bought 2 of the EC Champs Locker Room T's, one for myself and one for my Dad.

I might go broke if I keep this up.

Would have loved to see Allen play for Cleveland and have a throwback game and just nod as Curry goes to the bench.
