In what world is Jaden McDaniels worth 27 million per season? Am i missing something?

That number is all based on projections. He is currently, IMO, a slight tier below OG Anunoby as a player. But McDaniels is just 23 and has shown consistent growth.

27MPY seems about right for OG, were he to sign a new contract. Minny may have had to pay the Undesirable Market tax on the contract, but I don't think it will be viewed as a bad deal 2 years down the line, assuming he stays healthy.

By the time McDaniels' contract is in it's 3rd season, 27M per year will only be like 15% of the salary cap.

That batsard Dray got away with it easy. 5 games is nothing.
But a lot of "experts" got paid to parrot the same thing - "I am a little surprised, and sports fans all over are surprised at the harsh punishment ......"

Sadly this weak punishment for an egregious act means we’ll see more of this behavior and not just from Draymond.

The NHL put in a “Third man in - Game misconduct” penalty in the 70s because every fight was escalating into an all out brawl. Goon hockey. Fun for awhile but it got completely out of hand.

If this crap continues teams will have to add enforcers and then somebody could really get hurt. Unfortunately memories of Kermit Washington and Rudy T have faded.
