New TV Series to watch

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
The final season of Gomorrah dropped on HBO yesterday. For those of you who haven't seen it, it's probably the best foreign language show out there right now, with Dark being a close second.

Also, if anyone decides to watch it, make sure to catch the movie The Immortal after season four but before starting season five. It's largely a standalone movie but it definitely should be viewed before watching the final season of the show.

Hopefully they just use this as an opportunity to just transition back to Mando and nobody cares because the quality is so much better. Thought it was the best episode of "Boba Fett" which is ironic.

Also, Bryce Dallas Howard is quickly becoming a fantastic director.
What I'm hoping it is indicative that all these early Series(Mando, BoBF, upcoming Kenobi series) are not just food standalone series with some callbacks and lore, but just the beginning of a well woven overall mythos that is going to expand to new movies and series that far exceed any of what we saw in Eps1-3 and 7-9.

Of course these series need to stand on their own merit, but I want/hope Filoni/Vaughn are gearing towards giving us to type of excellence we all hoped for once the prequels were announced in the late 90's. They'll obviously not be able to re do or re cast those and that's fine, we want new stories, but we also want a rich, immersive, interconnected world and I hope the work being done in these early series is setting up some of the locales, mythos, and supporting characters that will help to anchor so really big stuff in the next 5-10 years. I'm assuming Filoni and Favreau are just as ambitious with this as Feige has been with MCU and I can't imagine Disney slowing anything down.

Is it just me or is this new season of Billions absolutely awful so far?

I was skeptical it'd be able to survive without Axe, but this has been worse than I ever could have imagined.

As of now I'll give it another episode or two but I'm pretty close to quitting this show.

I haven't seen Episode 2 but Episode 1 was pretty stupid and weird. So yeah I have some major doubts.

Feel like Billions has been bad dating back to Season 3 or whenever every single conversation required at least one sports or pop culture reference/metaphor.

Most unnatural dialogue of any TV show I've ever seen.

Watch an Aaron Sorkin show if you want to see unnatural dialogue.

Still love TWW though.

Anyone see don't fuck with cats? Holy shit, gripping
It was great!

Amazing work by those folks.

And yes, if one is a psycho, one should not mess with cats.

Rule number one of being a serial killer is not drawing attention to one's self.

Cats are exalted beings now in most cultures. Harming them certainly attracts widespread attention.

Peacemaker is fucking hysterical.

Very entertaining show so far.

James Gunn has been crushing it, and he gets the best of both worlds by getting to helm massively successful DC and Marvel properties at the same time.

Apparently, Peacemaker has been such a hit for HBO that Gunn is likely to be back working with them in the future.

Cena is what Dwayne thinks he is.

Cena is what Dwayne thinks he is.

I think Rock could be that, he just chooses not to. He sticks with PG-13 movies and he's always the good guy. Cena, on the other hand, has been willing to go outside of his comfort zone and do R-rated films and play characters who aren't generic cardboard cutout heroes.

It's the same as the difference between Batista and Rock. Batista wants to be an actor. Rock wants to protect his image/brand.

ETA: It's also similar to how Will Smith, for the longest time, wouldn't take any challenging roles. He took roles to create a brand and make a shitload of money on it.
