New TV Series to watch

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
Just as I need something new to watch, Jack Ryan Season 3 comes out.

Clutch.

Wrapped up the first season of the Recruit. I really enjoyed it and it left me wanting more. My only concern is that if they attempt more than another season or 2, then the story has the potential to become a little too predictable. This first season though seemed to have a little bit of everything, but left it open for potentially more storylines with the side characters.

Has anyone watched Alice in Borderland? It’s based on a Japan manga and it’s like Squid Game/Battle Royale. Season 2 just aired Thursday and I really enjoyed and I find it even better than Squid Game. The games are phenomenal. It crushes you physically, mentally, and emotionally especially the hearts games. The characters development was well done.

Excellent show. But I tend to agree with manga people, they better not try to make more seasons with the same concept, might be ok with some kind of spin off.
Also, some other great asian shows on Netflix. Korean especially. A bit whacky sometimes (for European me even more probably, no experience with asian culture), but some really good stories and ideas. Kingdom (!), Hotel del Luna, Hellbound, Uncanny counter (loved it), Silent sea…Also Qin empire and Three kingdoms.

Last chance u wasn't as good this season but coach Mosely is such a dynamic dude

Don't pick up the phone or whatever was nuts

Need to binge Jack Ryan and Andor soon. Also, still need to watch the final season of Better Call Saul.

Adding Sweet Home to that list.

With Andor, don't judge the show on the first two episodes. The show doesn't really start until episode 3. The first two episodes are backstory and kind of confusing because you think they are introing all the characters but at the same time they seem to be vague with who they are. It's really just setting up who the main character is and not all the characters of the show.

Tulsa King is as good as everyone says.
What a mess that's come from the Nico killing. Liking the weed shop owner's foray into crypto.

I think Tulsa King is a 5/10.

Not sure how involved Sheridan is on some of these side projects like Tulsa King, Mayor of Kingstown, etc. but feels like he might be doing too much. Yellowstone has fallen off a cliff and these other shows aren't anything particularly memorable.

I haven't seen Tulsa King or Mayor of Kingstown but I do agree that Yellowstone has gone downhill. It feels like they are dragging out the storyline to go on forever because they have no where else to turn to but paramount doesn't want it to end. I thought 1883 was real good but it surprised me that they are going to make another season since the first season seem like a complete story. 1923 seems good so far but they did seem to make it more broad.

I guess they are making a spinoff of Yellowstone with the 6666 ranch. I think paramount haven't cultivated enough creators and are trying to get all they can out of Taylor Sheridan. Im not sure it's the best strategy because people will get bored with gettig so much from one creator or it will appeal to a narrow group of viewers as time goes on.

1883 I didn't finish, not that I didn't enjoy it per se, just that I got caught up with other things and didn't think enough of it to go back and finish. I struggle some with shows that are overly bleak and it was very Oregon Trail-y. Overall just not my cup of tea I suppose.

Mayor of Kingstown had its moments. Entertaining & super thrilling/suspenseful at times while also being insanely over the top at times that you cannot help but roll your eyes.

Tulsa King...I feel like it takes itself less seriously than the other shows so the over the top moments don't stick out like they do in Yellowstone. Also feel like the acting quality is a notch below the other shows- Stallone and Domenick Lombardozzi are both kind of shitty actors.

There's also only so much one man can do in a year without diminishing returns. The dude is attached to like eight different shows at this point. He needs to tone it down and focus on two or three at most.
