I wish they'd have put the elf on the back of the collar. Small, but present.

I hear he's on each jock strap.

The initial plan was to put him on underwear, but the Brownie jokes wrote themselves.

This wasn't a color or logo revision (and we knew this beforehand), so this is only really a discussion of the change in uniform elements, which are vastly different in my opinion. Here's what's different between the primary sets:

• No contrast stitching
• Carbon fiber texture on helmet stripes gone
• Primaries have no wordmark (Edit: Missed that predictions were wrong and there are no wordmarks PERIOD now)
• No BROWNS on the pants
• Back to OBO stripes on the white pants instead of BOB
• No more upshadow or outline on the numbers
• New custom number font
• Back to brown/white numbers on primaries
• No orange jersey or pants
• 5 stripes on the jerseys instead of 3
• Stripes do not extend onto the chest

Individually, most of these are tweaks. Altogether, these are completely different uniforms. Not that it has to blow you away or even hold your interest, but anyone that pays attention to uniform design sees the difference between a laughable set trying way to hard to modernize an old school franchise and this return to simple traditional glory (well, until they have to play).

Edit: It's one thing to say this change is similar to the all Brown Color Rush we've been wearing, since it was obviously based on our old uniforms, but compared to the rebrand in 2014 this is vast.



Where do you want the Elf?

I would like the Elf or a new logo to be the primary logo, but we don't need any logos on the uniforms themselves IMO.

Its vastly different for the Browns, but in the whole change of uniform thing for every team, nowhere close to vastly different.

But to put into context i am not a collector of Browns apparel too much, mainly just t-shirts and have not bought a jersey in 20 years, so we both look at things differently. Like the sneaker heads that pay $300 for a limited shoe seam crazy to me, but then again they live for that shit.

We just look at things different. I dont care too much about the uniform changes, but the BROWNS on the side of the pants was hideous and i am glad its gone.

I'm with what seems like the majority here...

- All whites is easily the best combo. I love that look.
- Regular brown jersey is fine/nice.
- Color rush is hideous. They ruined an awesome jersey and I have no clue why. It seemed like the large majority of people loved the color rush before. Now, it looks like a cheap "shirsey" you find at Marc's to be honest.
- Having 2 different pairs of brown pants, but no orange pants is another big miss.

I love Brownie but I dont want him on the actual jerseys or helmets. However, I do want him as the primary logo that represents the team on TV, signage, merch, etc. over an orange fucking helmet.

Gotta admit... I've was really down on the brown pants when I heard they were going to be the primary road uniform, but having the double orange stripe down the side really does makes them significantly better than just the generic brown no stripe look of 2008-2009, 2013-2014.

Brown pants weren't even introduced until 2008, so it's not like they're a deep part of the team's history.

I got my Home brown Garrett jersey. I've been holding off for years waiting for them to go back to the original style. Would like to get a Away white Mayfield jersey at some point, although I'm holding out to see if the cream alternate turns out to be true.

I'm disappointed that white top brown bottom seems to be the away uniform, but as with the old set of jerseys I'm guessing that combos that were prominent at first may get pushed aside or "retired" for others as players decide on their favorites.

I will probably buy the $100. No point in buying the $150 (for me personally - don't need fully authentic) but I like the $100 better (side venting mesh, feeling, etc.)

On that note, I see they have their "jersey assurance" or whatever program that covers if a player is traded, etc. but does that also cover returning for size change? I am thinking Large, which would fit during the early months, but then wondering if I should up and go XL for when I wear a hoodie underneath during winter months. And it would just suck to wait until June-July for this thing to come in to just send it right back and wait again. When I can just wait until they are in stores when they open back up (or just curbside pickup at Dick's, try it on, and send right back in if I don't prefer that size).
