Do Not Sell My Personal Information
Really hope it doesn’t backfire on Lamar…..

Who are we kidding…

These fellas bet on themselves and make their teams a lot of money.

OverTheCap.com's Jason Fitzgerald believes Lamar Jackson could play under the Ravens' franchise tag for "multiple" years.

“If I were to put money on it, I’d say this is the ideal situation that ends up in multiple franchise tags before a deal gets done,” Fitzgerald told The Athletic's Sheil Kapadia. Jackson is headed into the final year of his rookie deal, and seems content biding his time before negotiating with Baltimore for a long-term extension. Team officials, including head coach John Harbaugh, have expressed unwavering confidence that they can keep Jackson for the long run. Playing under two consecutive franchise tags -- known as the Kirk Cousins Approach -- would make Jackson a free agent headed into his age-28 season in 2025. Assuming good health, there would be more than a few franchises ready and willing to sell the proverbial farm for Jackson's services. L-Jax will certainly be the Ravens quarterback for at least the next few years.

And this is why you get an agent. Because an agent would never let him do something that stupid.

This guy suffers a major knee injury and he loses a boatload of money.

It is truly stupid. He has all the leverage in the world.

Threaten to sit out. Threaten to request a trade. Playing on the tag is a last resort for a mobile QB.

But would that franchise tag be for QBs, or Running backs?

Derek Carr right now:

There have been many people on this very forum over the last year suggesting Derek Carr wasn't as good as Baker Mayfield.

¯\_(ツ)_/¯

this sounds like a bullshit cover to explain why OBJ stayed out so long.....

Nah. It sounds like agent speak to try to pump up a guy who is coming off a second ACL tear in the same knee in less than two years. It's just Rapoport carrying water for OBJ's agent.

Have to imagine James Andrews is probably not pumped to hear this shit, though, because he's getting thrown under the bus.
